This is the New Cross congregation in New Cross, London. I am standing near the end on the left. This photo was made in late 1992. There is a diverse membership of about 12 different nationalities. I was the only American there from 1992-94.
My responsibilities were youth work, personal work, teaching, song leading, preaching, planning activities, advertising, van driving, visiting, etc. I made all of my own study material, and illustrated it with drawings. I never had a dull day, or felt the slightest bit homesick, which, I think says a lot for London and the people I was working with.
