Calendars for Various Areas (1998)

Notes:

  1. All calendars follow the recommendations of the Muslim World League. (See article.) It is safest to delay the start of prayer by a few minutes and, if fasting, to stop eating before fajr by a few minutes and delay eating after maghrib by a few minutes.
  2. The directions given for the qiblah are relative to true north whereas the north needle of a compass points to magnetic north. In some parts of the world, there are significant differences between true and magnetic north. You need to adjust the value of the qiblah by the angle of magnetic declination. Check with the map division of your local library.
  3. There are two schools of thought with respect to the time for Asr. Both calendars are provided for each location.
