OK, now for the boring bits because somebody is bound to ask sooner or later.
Ok, this website was created by Simmie sitting at home on his Intel PII 300 with 64MB of RAM and 2.1Gigs of Hard disk space, using Microsoft Frontpage Express on Windoze 95.
All the scans were taken using an AGFA SNAPSCAN 1212 parallel port scanner and treated as line art at 150 ppl resolution. (Except the colour images which are scanned at 300ppl in 24bit true colour.) So the images should be good enough quality to print out - but remember kiddies we have copyright on all this stuff and we like to know if it's being used for anything!
The graphics files are all stored as either .gifs or .jpg files, and in total the graphic files use up about 5MB of this website. I'm currently thinking about creating another section to the website where the whole thing is broken down into 4 downloadable .exe files that you can easily download and read offline. I'll keep you all posted.
Please be aware that this website is GRAPHICS HEAVY! I'm sorry but that's the way it is - hey if you really want to download everything quicker get an ISDN line.
For those that ask - we're Scottish.
Update! The last modification of this webpage was on March 26th 1999. I have added the link on the frontpage to the Athens Spotlight, and counters to all pages so I can see what's popular and what's not. I have also removed the annoying pop-up's, to ease the clicking... Thank you for your time - this announcement has been sponsored by the colour blue.
Update number2! Another modification of this site was carried out on April 17th 2000. Spring cleaning really, and it was only really to check that everything was still working. Anybody out there got any ideas what we should do next?
