I have long been fascinated by the Lewis and Clark expedition of 1804-1806. So fascinated that I wrote an entire novel about it, The Memoirs of Hugh Hall, parts of which you can read here. To research that novel, I also drove the entire length of the Lewis and Clark route in 1996 and posted my own Journals here.
