BUSY ROADS
You soon forget about heavy traffic when you live up north
When everything moves well and you drive for all your worth,
But creeping along the DVP and onto the Gardener ever slower,
You know you would be quicker using your old lawn mower.

Stop and go, then a little run, not enough to get into top gear
And the gauge is getting low and running out of gas you fear,
It does not seem to matter into which lane you happen to be,
You come and go past then you catch up no difference to see.

All along the Gardener even onto Lakeshore way out west,
To keep yourself and the engine cool can become quite a test.
Listen to the radio and the newsman says all is running well,
And for a brief moment at him you just want to scream and yell.

East bound is fine they are all moving quite well going along
But the west bound could walk faster and you could sing a song.
We are here just for a day or two then all the way back home
Where at the speed limit or more all the vehicles may freely roam,
But at the moment with my tummy rumbling and no toilet in sight,
As well as being stuck in traffic there could be another plight.
