DIFFERENT CREATURES
Travelling home today many different creatures
we have seen,
Hawks gliding, geese taking flight also an eagle, eyes
so very keen,
A deer with swift grace and beauty ran across the
busy highway,
With many a squirrel and chipmunk, we saw
them all today.
There was a strange bird that I could
not recognise,
Huge, enormous, gigantic, I cannot really describe
his size,
I don’t think turkey vultures come this far
north to nest,
Maybe a plain wild turkey taking a much
needed rest.
When we get home in our bird books
we will seek
And hope there is a picture of the bird that
I speak.
