A WONDERFUL DAY
I will open my notebook at a clean page as we travel on
And hope that some hidden inspiration will soon come
Onto the paper and so give them a feeling of delight
If they stop to read it, it may show them sweet light.
The cattle lazily graze some sitting but many stand up,
And cows and horses together in harmony lovingly sup,
The sun shines through the clouds in a very pleasing way,
Especially as we were told it would rain for most of the day.
The crops are growing taller ready to bring the harvest home,
We see as along the highway with other vehicles we do roam,
Everywhere seems just right, the world here seems at peace
And you hope the wonderful feeling will continue to increase.
The thick forests seem to enjoy this sweet peaceful kind of day,
And all the many wild flowers hold up their heads as if to say
A prayer of thanks to God above for all the blessings freely given
And we should join in and enjoy maybe just a glimpse of heaven.
