Lamylu's Story

My name is Lamylu.

My Mom found me one day all alone and forlon. She was feeling very sad too. She had just put her 22 year old kitty to sleep. When she saw me it was the first time in a long time she smiled inside. It didn't take her more then a second to decide we were meant for each other. So off we went to my new home.

Home to meet Daddy.

When Mom brought me in Dad looked at me sorta funny. His eyes looked questioning at Mom. But I could tell he was thinking, why does she need that! Mom knew too she told Dad how happy it made her feel inside for the first time in a very long time. He sighed and said, oh well ,if it makes you happy. But Daddy didn't have me fooled. I could tell he was a kind and caring person. He proved me right many times, as he cared for Mom when she was very very sick.

When Mom was sick.

When Mom was sick she had to go stay in the hospital. Dad brought me in and she hugged me so tight. My Auntie was so worried about her twin. Mom kept saying she wanted to know why they wanted her to have some kind of treatment. i didn't understand all the words but I new they were all sad and Mom felt happy when I was around her. Then I heard then say Ovarian Cancer Stage IIC. I didn't know what it was but they were all very sad and my Auntie Julie was crying.

Me, Mom and Cemotherapy.

When Mom would come home from having cemotherapy all she could do was lay down and sleep. Most of the time she sleep for days. I was there and hoped I made her feel better. But soemtimes I couldn't help it that made me feel sad. Dad would come in the bedroom and look to see if Mom was ok and then go back and sit in the living room. I wished I could of made him feel better too, but sometimes all you can do is be there.

Follow Your Heart

My Lamylu

To some lamylu is just a stuffed animal that looks alot like Lamb Chop. To me she has given me the opportunity to be a child. The one that never got to play have fun or have many toys. She has helped me to think about fun things in life. To try and see only the good in others. She has helped me re-birth the child that was so afraid, that she lived her life in a fog for so many many years. She has helped me stay focused on the essence of who I am and to understand that I am a good and kind person. I have learned that it doesn't matter what others think, say or do. What matters is what it means to you. Follow Your Heart it will not lead you wrong. July 23, 2003 cancer free 12!

Blessings and Love
