The Hessischer Verein currently meets the third Thursday of every other month (except August) at the Germantown American Legion Hall, N120 W15932 Freistadt Rd in Germantown.

The club membership has identified specific cultural and social activities that they are promoting:

Hessen Dance with the formation of a new dance group.

Genealogical Research  of our Hessen ancestors .

Hessen Cuisine at local festivals and with recipes in our quarterly newsletter.

Putting the German back in Germantown though participation in Mai Fest and Oktoberfest.

Participation in Milwaukee's German Fest to keep German culture alive.

Promotion of Hessen costume and Tracht though participation in the German Fest Trachtenshau.

Promotion of our State Partnership with Hessen by hosting and sponsoring exchanges.

Although most members are of Hessen descent, this is not a requirement for membership. The only requirement is a desire to rediscover your heritage. Our membership fee is $10.00. Membership includes a quarterly newsletter that gives club activities, Hessen history, genealogy, culture and always a Hessen recipe.
