W. Percy-Hedley's book 'Northumberland Families' has William Swinburn 1805-1852 of Hexham, Northumberland as the father of Henry Bradley Swinburn but this is incorrect. There is a tradition, amongst some of Henry's descendants, that he is connected to the Dilston branch of the Swinburn Family but as yet no evidence of this has been found
