JOHN PINNELL, Vicar of Fittleworth, Sussex and ANNE PRATTENTON); died 1793, "Died lately at Midhurst, Sussex, Mrs. Swinburne, mother of Mrs. Widdrington of Hauxley in Northumberland" - Newcastle Courant 21 Dec.1793 Her brother JOHN PINNELL made a Will dated 3 October 1794 and proved 18 August 1798 leaving bequests to five Swinburn nephews and a niece if his daughter Anne, married to William Sammon, died without issue (issue - see below).

(Newcastle Courant 6 February, 1773), "Tuesday the remains of John Swinburn, esq., were interred in the family vault in St. Nicholas, attended only by his tennants: He served the office of High Sheriff for the County of Northumberland in the year 1755." - (Newcastle Courant 13 February 1773); Will at Durham Record Office; married SARAH BURDON (daughter and heir of THOMAS BURDON of Coxhoe, co. Durham) "On Sunday the 12th inst., was married at the Chapel of Longacre, London, John Swinburn of Longwitton in the Co. of Northumberland, esq., to Miss Burdon of this place, sister and heir of Henry Burdon late of West Jesmond in the co. Northumberland, esq., deceased. A beautiful lady with a fortune of £40,000 whose natural good disposition, improved by the best example and education, has ever made her greatly valued and esteemed by all her friends and acquaintance, and whose fortune is looked upon as the least valuable part of her."

Mr. Swinburn, Lecturer of All Saints, of this town." - Newcastle Courant 30 October 1762 Jane is mentioned in the Will of her uncle John Pinnell but with no legacy 'not out of any disregard or want of affection but as she is married to a Gentleman of Considerable ffortune'
