Dorian

Introducing contender number three in the OWCH contest, weighing in at Surprisingly Few pounds – Dorian Loktar!

Not your average orc, this one. Created by a groovily imaginative chap called Cade, Dorian has elvish ancestry in his blood; as a result he’s somewhat shorter and far more agile than most orcs, and of course there’s that startlingly-coloured hairdo of his. Opponents are often so distracted in a “What the...?” sort of way that he can nip across and kick them in the teeth before they realise what’s happening.

After the unholy horror of Sarkaroth’s trousers, drawing this guy was akin to glugging a litre of raspberry mineral water after unsuspectedly biting into a chilli pepper. The tattoos were the only bit I expected to prove irksome, but in the event they were surprisingly hassle-free; though complicatedly knotty, celtic designs generally consist of fairly basic shapes and a limited palette, so the only trick is to follow the lines and work out which colours go where. Emphasising his elvishness with lots of pointy edges was fun as well. Oh, and if you can spot where his surname comes from, award yourself 10 bonus points and a chocolate digestive.

Dorian is really, ever so terribly copyrighted to Cade, who can be spoken to down this special wire.
