Treasure Trap Poster

Treasure Trap is the longest-running LARP (Live Action Role-Playing, like Dungeons and Dragons but in real life and with latex swords) group in Britain, and possibly the world, founded in the fair city of Durham in 1983 by a bunch of mildly barking RPG enthusiasts who craved more than a big bottle of lemonade and a nicely-painted wizard figurine. Each year they hold a competition for a new T-shirt design, and the above was my effort for 1999, featuring all six members of the Clan Pickaxe and doubling rather pleasingly as a promotional poster. It hasn't actually been used for its originally intended purpose yet, but this was mainly due to my spending too long inking the thing and missing the deadline (sigh), and apparently it was well-received by the management - so there's still a chance there might come a time when people will walk the streets of Durham with a bunch of big scaly monsters glowering confrontationally off their chests at passers-by. They might just have to be slightly cautious about where they go when they're wearing it.
