In 1979 at the age of 19, Judy my x-wife and I began building this house.  I had planned on doing it in several stages, but in May of 1980, I got my right eye put out in an industrial accident.   After I recovered, we used the insurance money I received for my eye to finishing building this house.  We got a tremendous amout of help from relatives, especially my Mother and Father. 

A few months after we got moved into our new home and got settled in, I built a 12 foot by 12 foot building to store our lawn mower and tools in.

About 2 years later, we built the garage located to the right in the first picture above.

About a year or 2 later, we built a house for my brother, Robert. 

Not for sure exactly when, but sometime during this time John decided to remodel his house and add a much larger living room and bathroom.  I spent most of my weekends helping him with that project.   I have no pics at this time.

About 1 year after that, we built a house for my sister, Barbarba.

I believe my next project was when I tore out the original cabinets in the first house above and made the kitchen bigger and custom built the cabinets during the year of 1988.  Only this project turned out to be one much larger than was anticipated.  In the middle of the project, we came home after going to get more supplies and discovered the house was on fire.

Approximately a year after the house fire,1989, we experienced another trying time in life.  I woke in the middle of the night and found our bedroom lit up with a bright ornange glow.  I went to the window and saw flames shooting out of the shop's windows.

In 1990, Judy and I bought a house in the City of Tahlequah and moved our family there after we remodeled the inside of the house.  Mom and Dad helped us do the remodeling.  It has 4 bedrooms, 2 living areas, and 2 full baths.

In 1991 I was accepted to attend classes at OSU.  I lived in the dorms the first two semesters and came home most weekends.  In 1992, Judy decided she wanted to move to Stillwater and be with me, so we rented out the house above and took our family to Stillwater.  We lived in a rent house for the first year.  Then we bought a house remodeled it before moving into it.

Less than a year after we moved into the house above, Judy and I separated.  I went home, and during the week I was there Dad and I remodeled their bathroom.

This is another project I did while staying with Mom and Dad.

I then moved to Las Vegas after the divorce papers were signed, and lived there for six months.

About a month after I had been there, Judy called me and told me that she was having sewer problems and it was going to cost 1200 bucks to have it fixed.  I hadn't found suitable work yet, so I drove back to Oklahoma and fixed the plumbing problem for them.  At this time, I have no pics of this.

I moved back to Stillwater from Las Vegas and attended two more semesters of classes.  I then moved back to Tahlequah and rented a house and attended 2 semesters of classes at NSU.   Jessica and Beaver lived with me during this time.  A friend there paid me during the Spring break to remodel her bathroom and build her a closet in her bedroom.  At this time, I have no pics.

The following Summer of 1994 I had approximately 6 weeks before my Summer classes started, so helped my cousin-in-law (and good friend) work construction work.  It so happened that within a  couple of weeks of starting, we got a big job in Tulsa.  This was when I helped my best friend Doug remodel his back bathroom on the weekends.

The Fall semester of 1994, I moved back to Stillwater into a rent house.  The following Spring I bought two houses in a package deal.  Jessica and I moved into the larger house and I began remodeling the small one bedroom house first.  It really didn't need a lot done to it, and I wanted to get it rented as soon as possible.  Jammie, Janelle, Jessica, Mom, and Dad helped me get it ready to rent.

After finishing up on the small house, I started remodeling the larger house.  It is actually a 3 bedroom house, but I only rent it out as a two bedroom at present.  The third bedroom is sort of detached from the main house via a foyer type storage area.  I use it for my own starage space.

In 1997 bought this house and moved into it.  I added a full bath and bedroom on it.

In late 2000 I bought this house and completely remodel it. 

In April of 2002 I bought this house.  I am in the process of remodeling it now.
