Stupid Crook Stories

Recently in a northern California town some teenagers decided to try to outrun the police. With a car carrying various stolen goods they led the police on a short chase, eventually crashing the car. They jumped out and started to run. Seeing a building nearby under construction, they headed for it. As it turned out the building was right behind the police department. In fact, it was the new police department that was being built. Well, there were construction workers and police everywhere, so these guys found themselves being arrested in the new police department building where they thought they could hide.

A man and a woman held up a convenience store. Whild the man took the manager to the office to make him open the safe, the woman stayed with the store clerk to keep him from calling the police. The clerk told the lady that the store was having a contest and asked her if she would like to enter. She said yes and he gave her an entry form. She filled in the information including her address and telephone number.

A lady who worked in a large discount store was copying customer credit card numbers and using them to buy things for herself. The police didn't have a hard time figuring out who it was. She put her own name on every receipt so she could get her employee discount!
