Health is a complex subject. Not simply because modern medicine is complex, requiring years of specialized training & education if a person wants to understand it well. Health is a complex issue because it involves much more than an understanding of bodily functions, drug therapies, machines, etc.
It involves much more than the body.
Health is a state or condition of the whole person. Mind, body, and spirit. If the natural "balance" of a person's mind, body, & spirit is somehow upset, the person's health fails.
Perhaps the person's mental or spiritual "balance" is upset first; soon, the body will suffer. If the body's "balance" of health is upset, it in turn will affect the mind, & the spirit (or, the emotions, if you prefere).
Mental health. Physical health. Emotional & spiritual health.
It is so common in this country (and, I believe, in Western cultures, in general) to think of these things separately. This is an approach that does not work very well. The mind affects the body; the body affects the mind; and emotions affect both of them, just as they affect emotions.
Or, in other terms, a person will never achieve his or her full potential for good health unless the person pays attention to all 3 of these human needs--- mental, physical, & emotional. And keeps them in "balance".

Shadowolf's Den
Somewhere in the Forest is Shadowolf's den...
approach it quietly... carefully... patiently...
She's shy; a creature of smoke and shadows... wind and mist...
Shadowolf is rarely seen by anyone; she has always looked quickly out of my eyes. She emerges stealthily, when no one could possibly see her.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that she's afraid. She will bite... but only in defense of her home, to protect her pack and the young. And, this wolf protects other four-leggeds...
Shadowolf is connected to the life-blood of the Forest, and to it's creatures. Her gift to the visitor who wants to learn is understanding of the four-leggeds who inhabit the world...
This is a little about the person that you would meet in the "real world"...
I have returned to college after... 5?....8?...10?...15?..... [well, too long for me to want to count!], let's just say "several years". When Fall semester, 1999, started, I entered graduate school. I am working on a masters in Psychology.
I live with my husband in Texas. He is medically retired, following a liver transplant in 1994. Please come meet him on his page... (click on the link, below). He has several interests which haven't been ended by the changes in his body, since his transplant. See how much he still loves to fish!=============================================>
a little about me...
I love nearly any kind of music, except "old country" music.
I'm still a "flower child" at heart.
I feel an affinity with animals-- all animals-- but especially with cats (any kind); with dogs (mainly BIG dogs!); with horses (when I was a child, the first thing that I "...wanted to be" when I grew up was a HORSE!); with most small, furry 4-leggeds and large warm-blooded carnivors (wolves, big cats, etc.); and with aquatic mammals (esp. dolphins)....
I love Rain, ...Snow, ...the Night, ...Moon and Stars, ...Mountains, ...Rocks, ...Trees, ...moving Water, of any kind;
birds, espcially hawks and eagles;
most things that grow;
....and, some other things.
I am psychic... at least, somtimes.
I read; draw; write; "craft"; sing to myself and with my husband; play with the computer; watch videos; take walks;
love to camp out and to day-dream;
...and, I love to LEARN!
I'm "into" psychology; Art; Native American cultures; Asian studies; anthropology; spirituality; the paranormal & parapsychology; sociology; superstitions, myths, & magic; the power of the human mind; the World Mind; UFO's (kinda-sorta), crop circles, and the probability of life on other worlds; ocean studies; dream interpretation; .... that's enough for here!
And, Yes!, I will answer to each of the names claimed by my inner-Selves who wander this Forest... It all depends on where we meet!
