During New Year, we have many different food. During New Year, the mothers cook many traditional food. The food is put into a special box (jubako). The food has meaning. We eat many food. For example: black soy bean, lotus root etc. Some people buy New Year's food, but there are also some people that make the food at home.

On November 15, parents take their children of these ages to a Shinto shinto to pray for blessings and good health in the future. On the festival day for the children aged seven, five and three, we eat chitosseame. Chitoseame is a stick-shaped candy. Girl children wear kimono and make up with beautiful hair-do. Boy childrean wear hakama. Hakama is long pleated culottes-like Japanese trousers.

It's rice with fish on the top. It is very very expensive. It is always on revolving counter in a restaurant. Sometimes, it is shrivel. Everyong likes sushi very much. Personally, I like tuna sushi.
