What are "personal deities" and how do you find yours? A deity, as we mention on our God and Goddess page are aspects of Them. (Again, we stress that this is our personal belief; others may disagree with us - each person needs to find his or her own path). A personal deity is one which you feel connected to, one who guides you on your path through Wicca. This deity may or may not be one from a particular culture that you lean towards in terms of magick, but He or She is most definitely your mentor, and usually in an area of magick (or even yourself) that needs work or aide. Sometimes, you are attracted to a particular deity and other times, it may take meditation to find out who would best suit you. After finding your mentor, be sure to ask His/Her permission if you may be a student. Deities are very busy, so sometimes you may not hear directly from that particular deity - it may be another "spirit" who aides that deity and has been sent by Him/Her.
