A Biome is an environment that has a characteristic climax community.
The earth is made up of two main types of biomes: land biomes and aquatic biomes.

The tropical rain forest is a biome. It houses reptiles, small mammals, amphibians, and insects.
Most of the animals living in the rain forests are tree dwellers. When you're on the ground of the rain forest you become food.
There's a lot of predators out there.

An ecosystem is a smaller part of a biosphere (A part of Earth in which life exists.)
An ecosystem consists of a given area's physical features (A.K.A. abiotic factors, nonliving things,)
and living organisms. (biotic factors)

The burning of the rainforests effects all biotic things in it. From an ant to a jaguar.
All will be left homeless and, or dead if the destruction of rainforests doesn't stop.
Even the land (a abiotic factor) will be effected.
If the land burns too much there will be no nutrients left in it for other plants to grow.
Leaving a wide open space left behind.

Another thing the destruction of rainforests effect is called a climax community.
A climax community is a collection of organisms. Climax communities are often described as the most obvious species they contain.
Like monkeys, when you think of monkeys you think of the rainforest.
