ABOUT ME

 

Born in a village (Amadalavalasa, A.P.), I was educated at the A.V.N College, Vizag, Government Arts College, Srikakulam, the Banaras Hindu University, where I won the Wagle Gold Medal in 1961, the London School of Economics and the University of New South Wales.

I have lived for about 35 years outside India of which 30 are in Sydney. In early January 2000, I retired from my teaching job in Economics from the University of New South Wales, where I held the post of Director of Postgraduate Research Studies for some years. Currently I do some research in economics and philosophy and frequently visit universities in Australia and India. Some think that I am an atheist but I am not. In fact I am the Convener of the Sri Venkateswara Temple Association Inc., Sydney and was its President during 1981-1986. Currently I am the Chairman of the Sri Venkateswara Education Building Fund and was the President of the Telugu Association of Sydney Inc. during 1999-2000. To email me use this link: B. Rao.
