DOBRO DOSLI/WELCOME

This site is dedicated to the support of Yugoslavia and all other countries that were bombed or will be bombed by any aggressor. You can find historical facts, links to other informational sites, and cultural contents in these pages. This site is not meant to be offensive to anyone; it is especially not meant to be offensive to any Western people who we do not equate with the policies of NATO. It is meant to be a site dedicated to promoting educational issues, literature and culture. However, due to the current international situation, its content shifted focus to the NATO aggression and bombing of Yugoslavia.

NATO is currently conducting murderous operations in the Balkans, intervening in the internal affairs of Yugoslavia without prior consultation with the United Nations' Security Council. As such, this represents an act of aggression and provocation that might result in drastic events leading towards a Third World War. Immediate cessation to all military campaigns and a return to the negotiation table is needed. This is in the interest of all people, especially of all European and Balkan people, not just the Serbs.

NATO forces are dropping disastrous bombs and missiles on innocent civilians on an hourly basis. The number of innocent deaths grows by the hour. NATO bombers do not select civilian targers - they are hitting them indiscriminately. They are bombing anything in their desperation caused by their inability to meet military objectives. Example of such retrocities are bombing of the passanger train, refugee columns, RTS television studio, civilian houses in almost all Yu cities, etc. The whole of the Yugoslav population is now made up of refugees who cannot go anywhere else; they are forced to stay in bomb shelters for a minimum of 16 hours a day. NATO bombs are destroying everything that these people have built up since the country was last destroyed by NA(TO)zies in The Second World War: bridges, factories, schools, roads, etc., while the army remains untouched and Mr. Milosevic is stronger than ever. At the same time, the NATO propaganda machinery lead by CNN presents to the world false stories of ethnic cleansing, failing to uphold the journalistic ethics of preserving neutrality and presenting information from varied sources. And the enemies are using all methods of degrading Serbia's reputation, including the creation of web sites in an attempt to convince more and more people to hate us. Please do not believe what you might read on some of these web sites. British, Americans, French, Albanians or people from other NATO member countries are not our enemies. NATO and the Albanian terrorists and their colaborators are our enemies.

We beseech the Western people: mothers, fathers, wives, children, relatives - ask yourself one simple questions "Why are our family members risking their lives in the Balkans?". Do not believe CNN and their reports of NATO planes accidentally crashing and the 'heroic' operations of saving pilots. The Greek daily newspaper 'Athinaiki', No 599, page 9 from the 7th of April, 1999, wrote: "based on the confidential data from NATO's Head Office in Belgium, 32 jets and choppers and 88 NATO servicemen have lost their lives so far in the Balkans since the campaign began on the 24th of March." The 'Athinaikis' further wrote, that these numbers caused great anger among the NATO generals, who, in frustration, started to punish Serbia by bombing purely civilian targets - such as the case of bombing the center of the city of Alexinac where 5 civilians lost their lives and another 30 were seriously injured. Similar numbers were previously reported by the Russian newspaper 'Itar Tass' and by various Yugoslav daily newspapers. Latest reports are stating that NATO is loosing in average about 3 jets or choppers every day. This number will grow as the Yugoslav Army manages to study the ways in which NATO attack are being carried.

There are also confirmed reports that NATO has destroyed a number of key civilian production factories such as The Mechanical Industry of Nis, The Tobacco Industry of Nis, The Industry of Electronic Appliances 'Sloboda' in Cacak, and the bombing of a number of mining complexes. All of this is being done as a plan to destroy the well established Yugoslav businesses that represent serious competition to similar businesses in The European Community, in particular, Germany. They even bombed a graveyard, and one report stated that bones from the Central Pristina Orthodox Cemetery can be found on far away streets. NATO is not even allowing our dead to rest in peace.

Furthermore, NATO is propagating democracy and freedom of speach but just this week tried to silence Yugoslav media by killing over 20 journalists in Belgrade. At the same time Western people have been bombarded with reports of the ethnic cleansing of the Albanian population - but this movement was mainly caused by the NATO campaign. Serbs are not killing these people as reported, they are leaving by their own volition. And ask yourself - how many Albanians from Albania have also joined in with the refugees with the hope of being sent to some Western county. Their excuse for their lack of proof of identity would be - "The Serbian police took my birth certificate and my passport". Many people around the world do not understand the mentality and culture of these people. You have been shown people who cry because they are being airlifted away from their homeland, while in reality they are crying because they are being taken to Turkey and not to Germany or The USA. When the news came out that the refugees from Macedonia were going to be sent to Turkey, the whole camp of 40,000 refugees disappeared over night; they either went home or back to Albania, as they believed that those from Albania were to be sent to The USA and other Western countries. The ethnic Albanians in Yugoslavia used to enjoy all the human rights; free medical and dental care, social security benefits, representatives in the Federal Government (in the 80's an Albanian used to be the president of Yugoslavia) schools and university education taught in the Albanian language (many younger Albanians cannot speak the official language of Yugoslavia very well). They had the right to travel, run businesses and to settle in any part of Yugoslavia or overseas, etc., etc.. It was compulsory for Serbian students to study the Albanian language for a minimum of six years. Albanian refugees who were escaping from the tyranny of the late Albanian dictator Enver Hodzha, were settled in Kosovo and given free land, and some cases, houses. In most cases, they were given more than Serbs received themselves [estimates show there were about 600,000 such cases from 1950 to 1980]. So what do else they want? No other country on the earth has given such rights to its minority groups. Their 'bosses' knew very well that Kosovo is of a highly important cultural and economical significance for the country, and that the Federal Government and Serbian people would do anything keep the country together. Yes, I said economical as well! The USA protects it economic interests in many far away places - Panama, Iraq, Korea, etc. Yugoslavia is doing the same thing, but in its own land.

Have you ever asked yourself why there is a country called Yugoslavia, but the people who live in in it are Serbian? It should be really called Serbia. But the Serbian Government called it Yugoslavia to promote equality. Presently, the brave Serbian people are proudly standing up to defend their country. Try to understand the Serbs. They have, throughout history, had an extremely difficult geographical position. It is a place where East and West come together, here Muslims, Catholics and Orthodox Christians meet. A clear separation between these groups is needed. Only then can there be a hope for peace. Catholics already have Croatia, which they ethnically cleansed of Serbs. Albanians have Albania, but many of those who are in Yugoslavia do not want to respect the country that gave them a home, and thus, they are free to go to their ethnic land of Albania. Serbs have the right to have Serbia, and not to be exterminated and ethnically cleansed from their own country. They do not have a spare country to go to.

Analyze things for yourself, and do something before is too late: JOIN THE WORLDWIDE PROTEST AGAINST THE NATO CAMPAIGN IN YUGOSLAVIA. Alternatively you might opt to give some small donation to help the families of civilians who lost their lives in the bombings. This can be arranged through the Orthodox Churches in your communities, Serbian Ethnic Community Centers and The Yugoslav Foreign Missions.
