Heat and Temperature is a science unit packed with exciting experiments, activities, learning experiences, and opportunities for collaboration in cooperative group settings. Everything gives off heat. In this unit you will learn more about heat and how it is measured. You will observe how heat travels. You will learn ways in which heat can be used.

Heat is energy that moves from warmer matter to cooler matter. The more heat energy something has, the hotter it is. You can feel heat, but you cannot see it. There is a difference between heat and temperature. How is heat different from temperature? Temperature is a measure of how fast the particles in matter are moving.
