When you join AI you join a worldwide movement of people who are united by their desire to protect and promote human rights. There are more than 1,100,000 members and subscribers in more than 150 countries and territories, with thousands of local groups in more than 80 countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia/Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. As an individual member or part of a local group, you will be encouraged to participate in many types of activities -- from sending a postcard to organizing huge campaigns for human rights.
