[Humbleness] The WAY of the EBIONITES

* A Mans pride will humiliate him, but a humble man will obtain honor(Proverbs 29:23)

*But the grace he gives is greater, which is why it says, ‘YHWH opposes the Arrogant but to the humble he gives grace’(Ya’akov 4:6; Proverbs 3:34)... Humble yourselves before YHWH and he will lift you up(James 4:10)

*what is the greatest of the ten steps in the ascent of the righteous? Saintliness, as it is said:”then thou spakest in vision to thy saints”(Psalms 89:20). Rabbi Joshua ben Levi said: Humility, for it is said: “The spirit if the Lord(YHWH)God(Almighty) is upon me, to bring good tidings to the humble,” whence we learn that humility is the greatest of all virtues. (Abodah Zarah, 20b)

Humility and humbleness means to be modest, lowly and void of arrogance and vain pride, and meek”. Humbleness has nothing to do with being a wimp, with having an oppressed/bound mental expression of oneself. It is the ability to recognize that you are not better than someone else because of your knowledge, anointing, financial status or political, religious, business or social business. You are able to recognize that everything is not about you alone and that without YHWH and other human beings you wouldn’t be what or who you are. In fact without YHWH you would be nothing.

Humbleness attracts YHWH’s kind of Pride, but eliminates arrogant pride or the holier than thou attitude. Humbleness and humility teaches us to submit to YHWH’s appointed Spiritual Authority. YHWH operates through spiritual authority. Whether you are gifted or not, or even if you seem to be a better Teacher, leader of whatever, if YHWH has not put you in Authority then you are to submit to his appointed Spiritual authority.

Submission can only come through your ability to take control of your life and humble yourselves. The only way you can truly take control and authority over your lives is through the Torah of YHWH. As long as there is vain pride in your life, you’ll never be elevated or honored by YHWH.

Humbleness is the ability to recognize YHWH’s timing on Honor. In fact a humble person does not selfishly seek honor, they just seek to do YHWH’s will and are obedient to his Word by submitting to YHWH’s appointed spiritual authority. As a result YHWH honors him. When one is humble, he will have no problem elevating or honoring others, even if he has to make himself lowly, because in his heart he knows his position and who he truly is in YHWH. He is whole, complete and unique in himself(herself), and understands YHWH’s purpose for his life.

Pride is the result of insecurity and low self-esteem. That means you’re not sure who you are, where you came from or where you’re going. You are not sure that YHWH’s Authority is in your life and purpose. When you know who you are, being humble isn’t a problem.
This in no way saying that you are to allow yourself to be oppressed by another, or to not stand up for what you believe or turn the other cheek when political, social, cultural, mental or spiritual danger is foreseen.

The Oral Torah Echoes:
“Every man who is filled with an arrogant spirit is as though he had worshiped idols, denied the basic principles of Religion and committed every kind of immorality... who ever is possessed of an arrogant spirit, the Holy One, blessed be he, says, ‘I and he cannot dwell in the world to come.’” (Sotah 4b et seq).
