West Ham United Football Club

Boleyn Grounds, Green Street, Upton Park, London, E13

Formed in London's dingey East-End in 1895 as the Thames Ironworks, the boys in Claret & Sky weren't known as West Ham United until 1900. Whilst sporting those colours quite vulgar - similar to Aston Villa - West Ham United, or "The Hammers"/"The Irons", have spent almost 100 years bouncing back and forth from the 1st Division to the 2nd Division. It wasn't until the 1992/93 season that they were promoted to the F.A. Premier League, where they currently hold an admirably strong standing in the upper half of the Division.
