- FRENCH CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT: The purpose of the French Club is to provide students opportunities to live and experience the French language and culture by providing cultural; and enrichment activities.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: The French Club is open to any French II student or to those who have already completed French II. Each member must have completes an application form and submitted a five dollar membership.

- SPANISH CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT: The aim of the Spanish Club is to broaden the educational experience of each member to a degree which would not be possible in the classroom.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: 1. Attend all meetings and miss no more than 2 consecutive meetings. 2. Have completed 2 years of Spanish or be currently enrolled in Spanish II. 3. Complete and submit an application for membership. 4. Pay dues of $5.00 for the year.

- (FHA) FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA

MISSION STATEMENT: To promote personal growth and leadership development through roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader. Members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and vocational preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: 1. Completion of one semester Home Economics coursework. 2. Currently enrolled in a Home Economics Class. 3. Pay dues of $10.00.

MISSION STATEMENT: learning to live in a technical world.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: 1. Good attitude working with others. 2. Average or above average intelligence. 3. Willing to work in and out of school on club activities.

- SCIENCE CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT: The primary purpose od the science club is to increase the level of understanding and interest that student have in science and technology.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: Students must be enrolled in a sophomore level or above science course. Students must also maintain at least a “c” average in their science class and have a satisfactory discipline record in all classes.

- (FFA) FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA

MISSION STATEMENT: FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth , and career success through agricultural education.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: 1. While in school, be enrolled in at least one agricultural education course during the school year. The course must plan for a Supervised Agricultural Experience Program, the objective of which is the preparation for an agricultural career. 2. Show an interest in the affairs of the organization by attending meetings, striving for degrees of membership, and participating in other organized activities of the chapter. 3. Pay all current state, national, West Tennessee, and local chapter dues which are set at $16.00 per year. 4. Display conduct consistent with the ideals and purposes of the National FFA Organization.

- (BPA) BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS OF AMERICA

MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of Business Professionals of America is to contribute to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: 1. Business Professionals of America is composed of men and women enrolled as students in secondary and post-secondary courses or programs in business and office occupations, or collegiate students enrolled in business education or business administration. 2. Members must also pay dues of $15.00.

MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission is to help students learn to serve others through Christian love.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: None

- STUDENT COUNCIL

MISSION STATEMENT: To provide a liaison between the staff and the student body and to develop leadership and service skills of students.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: The standing membership is composed of officers from each class elected by students of the class the previous spring. A nonvoting Secretary is chosen by the President from President is elected by the entire student body the previous spring before serving.

- ACADEMINC BOOSTER CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT: The Munford High School Academic Booster Club will promote academic excellence by identifying, acknowledging, and rewarding those academic students who excel.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: Must be a senior, junior, sophmore, or second semester freshman. The student shall be worthy of (a) worthy character, (b) good mentality, (c) creditable achievement, and commendable attitude. The standards and means for appraising these qualities shall be determined by representatives of the Academic Booster Club and Munford High School.

- SPEECH AND DRAMA CLUB

MISSION STATEMENT: 1. To organize participation in Speech & Drama tournaments. 2. To stimulatw interest in theatre arts and forensic competition. 3. To cultivate expertise in a wide range os competitive Speech & Drama performance categories. 4. To provide performance and rehearsal opportunities for studenrs of theatre arts. 5. To lay the groundwork for future Speech & Drama tournaments to be held at Mnford High School.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP: Membership is open to any student who is currnetly enrolled in or has completed a theatre arts class in high school.

- (FTA) FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA

MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the FTA is to interest good students in becoming teachers, administrators, and/or professional educators in related fields.

QUALIFIACATIONS OF MEMBERSHIP: Each prospective student must maintain at least a 2.0 average on a 4.0 scale, secure the endorsement of two faculty member, secure an administrator’s signature stating that the student’s conduct on campus is considered satisfactory, write a paragraph explaining why he/she desires membership in the FTA, and successfully complete an interview with the club sponsor. Prospective members must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
