Wicca is a positive journey to enlightment through Goddess Worship and the mystical art of white magick. It is a shaministic nature-oriented religion and a unique and exciting blend of the traditional and the eclectic that seeks neither to convert, conform, or control.

Unlike many religions, Wicca does not claim to be the one and only way for everybody, and it does not campain against other religous traditions (although the other way around is unfortuantly the case at times).

Wicca is not anti-Christian; however, it does not acknowledge the existence of sin, the devil, or a judgmental avenging god as defined in Christianity.

Wicca encourages free thought, artistic creativity, individuality, and personal, spiritual, and psychic growth. It is a celebration of the cycle of seasons and of life. Wicca is respecting and living in harmony with all living things. Wicca is light. Wicca is Love. Wicca is called the "Craft of the Wise" and is both ancient and new. It is a path unlike any other in the world.

Some Basic Beliefs
We worship the Goddess and God equally.

We live in peace with all nature.

All Goddesses and Gods are aspects of the Goddess and God.

After death, we go to the Summerlands before staring a new life. Eventually, we remain in the Summerlands.

No one religion is the true way. Each of us may chose our own path.

Everyone has power that can be put to use. As Wiccans, we draw upon that power for positive use.

There is no devil or hell.

Our basic moral code is "An it harm none, do what you will." Whatever is sent out comes back threefold.

Wicca recieved legal recognition as a religion in Canada in 1987. In 1991 there were roughly around 5,530 Neo-Pagans, mostly Wiccans, living in Canada. Wicca is one of the fastest growing religions in North America.

Wicca: Natural religion based on the teachings of ancient cultures, religions, and magic. Under the branch of Paganism, Wiccans have an organized religous system in which each individual chooses which folkloric craft to follow.

What is not Wicca: A teaching that gives you super powers and the ability to curse people, and do magic tricks. A religion in which only women gather to call for the devil's help to curse and kill people.
