This page is just a way of letting you know a little about me.
I was born in Bellevue, Nebraska on August 21, 1969 at about 7:30am. My dad was in the Air Force and my mom was a Nurse. We moved around about every four years, which of course, made it difficult to maintain any friendships. We have lived in California, Hawaii, Wyoming, Upstate New York and of course Nebraska. I was lucky enough to move back to Nebraska and graduate from High School there in 1987. During my High School years, I bought a Beagle puppy and named him Snoopy and he was with me for a long time. I had to put him to sleep because of his health declining and age. When I put him to sleep, he was 17 years old and was and will always be my absolute best friend. That was probably the hardest thing I ever did in my life. I was with him the entire time and had him in my arms when the Vet gave him the injection.

After graduating from High School, I went to the University of California, Santa Barbara to study Marine Biology. My first year didn't go too well-I was too busy partying and surfing.

During my Sophomore year, I changed majors from the Marine Biology program to the Cultural Anthropology program. This was due to taking two classes-one from a world famous Anthropologist-Napoleon Chagnon and another from a world famous Archaeologist-Brian Fagan. During this year, I also decided to take up Fencing as a sport and was on the University Team. I graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
On the day that I graduated from UCSB, I received a letter from the University of Nottingham in England accepting me in the Masters program in Archaeology. During the Fall of 1991, I left for Nottingham and completed my MA in one year and was then accepted into the Doctorate program in Archaeology and completed my Ph.D. in less than three years.

During my time in England, I continued to fence and competed for the University Team and met many wonderful people, many of whom I still keep in touch with. I was also able to travel to various parts of Great Britain such as York.

When I graduated with my Ph.D., I moved back to the States to Virginia. Leaving England was probably one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do since many friends are still there and I was moving to an area of the US where I had no friends. I went back for New Years 2000 and celebrated on the Thames River and also went back for a friends wedding the summer of 2000.
Since being back in the US, I have had a variety of jobs ranging from working in a Music Store to Waiting Tables in a Restaurant to doing Archaeological Excavations up and down the East Coast. I eventually ended up working at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.. I left the museum almost 5 years ago and now am at the National Air & Space Museum. I was hired to prepare over 250 aircraft and spacecraft and many, many smaller objects for transportation to a new museum that is being built at Dulles Airport. I have also tried to continue to do Fencing but because of time and money, I have been unable to do it as much as I would like.
Back in January/February 1999, I joined a on-line dating service and met my wife and my soul-mate, Leah. She and I have so many things in common and yet we have things about us that are different. Some people may laugh at the way we met but we know that we would have never have met if not for the service because we are so busy with work and are both not into the "bar scene". She and I married in October 2001 and have been extremely happy with tying the knot.

I went back to Nebraska back in 1997 for my 10-year High School Reunion and it was pretty amazing to see how much everyone and everything had changed-except two of my best friends, Mark and Todd.

Anyway, that is pretty much the story of my life. I will be editing and changing this page often so that I can show people the various things that I have done during my life. I hope that you have enjoyed this brief glimpse into my life and if you have any questions about me or some of the things that I have done, please e-mail me.
3/3/2005---I will start updating this site a little more regularly and will try to add some new pictures and paragraphs about myself. Thanks for coming to visit here.
