The serious reason for this site:
Many people might not believe that the adoration of David Duchovny is a serious way to seek after spiritual Truths. I believe that it can be.
Many religions give you a long list of rules and then offer sticks and carrots to get you to obey them. Those that adore David Duchovny. however, have been inspired to a code of good behaviour and to virtues like charity simply by the existence of their star.
The Duchovniks for instance have an oath in which they swear "to be openminded and friendly and considerate and tactful and patient with my sisters and brothers because that's what David would want". They also get together with other fan lists like the David Duchovny Estrogen Brigade(all three), the DDTeens, the Lovers of David Duchovny and the Gillian Anderson Testosterone and Estrogen Brigades to make charitable donations to the Pediatric AIDS Foundation since this is the charity David Duchovny makes donations to. The Church is working on joining in with this year's PAF fundraiser.
If meditation on the lives of saints is useful because it inspires people to right action, then the adoration of David Duchovny is therefore proven to be equally useful.
