CLASS ASSIGNMENTS

The Staff and the Principal work on class assignments. Please remember that to create a balanced class, many variables are considered. We must consider:

• boy to girl ratio
• the ability level of the students
• children with behavior difficulties
• how the children work together as a class
• children in the Resource Specialist Program
• our Limited English Proficient students

As you can see, many considerations are made to develop a class.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR

Congratulations - Monte Vista's Teachers of the Year are selected annually as part of the GUSD 2005 Plan. Every faculty member votes for the Teacher Of The Year. The teacher of the year receives a plaque from the Glendale Unified School District and his/her name is added to the perpetual plaque which is on display in the Monte Vista hallway.
