ABOUT THIS BOOK: "BAPTISM AND THE BIBLE"

"THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE BAPTISM" is a book that deals with the subject of baptism - including water, Spirit and fire baptisms - as it appears throughout the Bible. It clearly and candidly deals with the essentiality of water baptism and its distinction of being the ONE BAPTISM of Ephesians four. It deals with what Holy Spirit baptism IS and what it IS NOT. It deals with the many interpretations of the baptism of fire: whether it's the "tongues as of fire" in Acts 2, the fiery destruction of Jerusalem in AD70 as per Matthew 3:10-12 or whether it's hellfire. It deals with John the Baptist's Baptism. It deals with baptism and being saved by faith. It deals with water baptism and being "born again of the water and Spirit." It deals with rebaptism. It deals with infant baptism. It deals with the purpose of water baptism, the recipients of water baptism and the mode (dipping, sprinkling or pouring?) of water baptism. It deals with 26 important relationships linked to water baptism. It deals with water baptism as serious as its being the most oft mentioned and important Christian act appearing in the Bible makes it out to be!

In the Appendix of the book there are discussions about the mode of baptism, the recipients of baptism, the results of baptism; an indepth look at I Corinthians 12:13; a list of faith and obedience passages; an index of water/Spirit/fire baptism passages; a discussion on the difference between receiving the person of the Spirit (as a "gift") and power from the Spirit; and a list of passages showing how the "Day of Jehovah" is a day of physical judgment in the Bible (like AD70) and not the "Second Coming of Christ."
