one small fleeting moment
I reached to touch your face
but felt only air
as you fell away from my grasp
with open arms to catch you
one single chance
that moment never forgotten
I tore up love filled words
and destroyed all feelings
the numbness creeps up
and I don't care anymore
no tape can mend
what's already lost
I listen to a pointless melody
that used to touch our soul
I don't even have a memory
to feel what I'm missing
dying to scrape a hole
in this paper wall
breakout
and touch again
I've forgotten how to lift my arm
I dont even feel it hanging
though I see it's still there
my brain screaming to get out
my heart caring not
just continues to thump along
use me
abuse me
maybe I'll feel it
