This department provide service which can be served by the University for the
community. This service consist of:

 Community education, and
Comunity service
The main focus of this department is the "vilage-community" development. To gain
better resultant, this department devides its work into four main programmes:

Development of "desa mitra"
(village friend), since 1974
Special district development, since 1984.
Students rural work service (Kuliah Kerja Nyata / KKN), since 1973. Total students who involved
per year are about 2200 students.
Special program
The special program are done by each faculty and department within the University. It
covers managerial support, technical support, as well as human resourse development.
