Untitled (For Now)

Looking at you lying there next to me,
Makes me think about the way things used to be,
And I begin to wonder how,
They came to be so different now.

There were nights when I cried myself to sleep,
And days when I didn't have enough to eat.
There were times when I felt so lonely and afraid,
But now my life has changed in so many ways.

See most people never know what it's like to get a second chance,
And I'm not gonna be the kind of girl to let it slip through my hands,
I'm gonna take everything inside of me,
And make my life just exactly what I want it to be.
