THE REFORMATION TRADITION

  • What's Reformed?

This material contains a number of helpful statements and descriptions about reformed theology from such people as Loraine Boettner and Michael Horton.

  • The Westminster Confession of Faith

The Westminster Divines confession is perhaps the most notable expression of the Christian faith penned by human hands. Here find the Confession with scripture proofs, a comparison of the WCF and other confessions, and additional information about the WCF.

  • The Canons of Dordt

This classic document was the response of international reformers to Arminianism. Find here the Canon's articles and its point by point refutation of Arminian errors.

  • Heidelberg Catechism

This classic statement of 1563 affirms that our only comfort in life and in death is that we belong to Jesus Christ. It progresses along three themes: Guilt, Grace and Gratitude, or Sin, Salvation and Service. In response to the question of what is God's providence, the Catechism also destroys the modern god of chance. "The almighty and everywhere present power of God; whereby, as it were by his hand, he upholds and governs heaven, earth, and all creatures; so that herbs and grass, rain and drought, fruitful and barren years, meat and drink, health and sickness, riches and poverty, yea, and all things come, not by chance, but by his fatherly hand."
