What music do I listen to? Oh, allsorts really... at the moment,
mainly Britpop bands like Blur, Pulp, Oasis, Cast, Divine Comedy -
but I like a lot of other stuff too, from Paul McCartney to Eddi Reader
and from Steely Dan to Nanci Griffith...
When I'm repairing my pushbike I'm happiest listening to early Stones,
while for some reason I really love listening to the Strauss operetta
Die Fledermaus when doing the ironing...
I'm no expert at all on jazz, but I've found out I really love some jazz singers
like Chet Baker, Peggy Lee, Astrud Gilberto, Blossom Dearie - not singers who
hit you over the head with their technical mastery and bore you with their flawless
technique but singers who bring feeling to a tune...
