Jane Minerva Tillotson and her siblings

In the center is brother William (Will) Thomas Tillotson, b. at Brunswick, OH 28 May 1826 (IGI) and d. at Elsie, MI 30 May 1901. He m. at Elsie, Clinton Co., MI 26 Sep 1855 Mary Elizabeth (Betsey) Wool/Wooll (IGI), daughter of Kingston and Hannah (Oliver) Wooll (Tillotson Gen). Betsey was b. at Columbia, OH 10 Oct 1835 and d. at Elsie, MI 5 Mar 1921.

Seated on the left is Mary Eliza Tillotson, b. at Brunswick, OH 19 Jan 1829 and d. at Fairfield, MI 13 Mar 1885. She m. 29 May 1850 Charles Gurley Wait (Daniel M. Conant, Minister)[MCMR vol B, p269], son of Capt. James and Eliza (Ashley) Wait. Charles Wait was b. 2 Apr 1830 at Strongsville, OH and d. 4 Jan 1895 at Ovid, MI.

They moved to Elsie, Michigan. His father was captain of a boat on Lake Erie.

  2. Frank Leroy Wait, b. 23 Apr 1857.
  3. Mary Elizabeth (Libbie) Wait, b. at Elsie, MI 5 Jun 1863.

 

Standing on the left is Charlotte Maria (Lot) Tillotson, b. at Brunswick, OH 19 Apr 1831 and d. at Fairfield, MI 25 Oct 1909. She m. (1) 10 Apr 1849 Abraham W. Dickey [Varnum Noyes, Minister - MCMR vol B, p 228]. She m. (2) at Brunswick, OH 15 Oct 1852 Oscar Wales Darling [Jacob A. Brown, Minister - MCMRe vol B p345], son of Oran and Sophia (Wood) Darling. Oscar Darling was b. at Louisville, St. Lawrence Co., NY 17 Apr 1826 and d. at Elsie, MI 6 Aug1876 .

  1. Della Eveline Darling, b. at Columbia, Lorain Co., OH 31 Aug 1855
  2. Ida May Darling, b. at Brunswick, OH 14 Sep 1857. She m. Charles Edward Bennett, son of David Hume and Mary Eveline (Tillotson) Bennett. He was b. at York, OH 25 Jul 1852. They were childless and lived in Elsie, MI.
  3. Fred Raymond Darling, b. at Fairfield, MI 25 Nov 1858 .
  4. Mary Estelle Darling, b. at Brunswick, OH 5 Sep 1860. She m. 15 Mar 1881 Hudson Goodrich. He was b. at Troy, MI 12 Sep 1854. They lived in Rose Center, Oakland Co., MI and were childless.
  5. Annette Luella Darling, b. at Fairfield, MI 7 Nov 1861.
  6. ______, b. at Ionia, MI 10 Oct 1870 (IGI)

 

Standing on the right is JANE MINERVA (Chub) Tillotson, b. at Brunswick, Medina Co., OH 14 Aug 1834 and d. at Ovid, MI 10 Jul 1913 of dropsey. She m. (1) at Brunswick, OH 2 Nov 1852 Daniel H. Francis (Thomas Thompson, Minister) [MCMR vol B, p371], son of Darius and Lyntha (Stow) Francis. He d. at Brunswick 25 Jul 1854 of the ague. She m. (2) at Nelson, OH 17 Sep 1862 BELDEN COLTON LINZEE, son of William H. and Mary Elizabeth (Colton) Linzee of Nelson, OH. He was b. at Nelson, Portage Co., OH 20 Sep 1834 and d. at Flint, MI in Dec 1918.

  1. Henrietta Irene Linzee, b. at Ovid, MI 7 Mar 1865 and d. at Berkeley, CA (bur Ovid, MI) Dec 1952. She m. at Ovid, MI 7 May 1884 Emory Albert Fuller, son of Curtis Russell and Artemesia Ashley (Hyde) Fuller. He was b. at Canandaigua, NY 16 Feb 1825 and d. at Elsie, MI 21 Jun 1895.

 

Seated on the right is Elizabeth Ann (Lib) Tillotson was b. at Brunswick, OH 26 Nov 1837 (IGI) and d. at Elsie, MI 18 Feb 1899. She m. 3 Apr 1863 Charles Green Munson, son of Jacob and Postremy ( ) Munson. He was b. at Brunswick, OH 8 Oct 1832 and died 3 Jan 1907. [The Munson line is Jacob, Ithiel, Titus, Abel, Joseph, Samuel, Thomas]

Charles Munson was a farmer and had 120 acres in Carland, Shiawassee County, Michigan. Also lived for a time in Elsie, MI.

Children, born at Fairfield, Clinton Co., MI:

  1. Ezra W. Munson, b. 23 Jun 1864 (Diary) and d. at Indianapolis, IN 28 Jul 1931. He m. (1) 10 Oct 1894 Anna Wooll, daughter of William and Rosanna Wooll. He m. (2) Sep 1907 Stella Snyder. He was a carpenter and lived in Indianapolis.
  2. Henry N. Munson, b. 14 Jun 1866, m. 6 Dec 1894 Eliza Bradley. He worked on the home farm with his father.
  3. Milo C. Munson, b. 4 Jul 1874, m. 20 Mar 1901 Nellie Swartout.

 

Not pictured is Jane's younger brother Leonard, jr. (Put) Tillotson, b. at Brunswick, OH 19 Mar 1844 (IGI) and d. at Elsie, MI 27 Jan 1870. He m. at Clinton Co., MI 14 Jan 1865, Julia Ann Brainard(IGI).

Children,

  1. Fred Tillotson, b. 26 Jul 1867, d. 19 Mar, 1869.
  2. Nina May Tillotson, b. 19 May 1870 and d. 28 Aug 1915. She m. at Detroit, MI 26 Jun 1900 James Craig Morrison, son of Matthew and Catherine (MacDonald) Morrison. They were childless.
