Maureen's Musings....

Random thoughts (January 29, 1999)

Most of us are so caught up in the hurry of this world,
that we forget to take time for the most important things.

If I could do the things that I like;
I would hope to do them in a way
that is a reflection of Christ,
though most of the time it seems that I fail
(don't give up on me yet, God).

But if I could, I would spend all the time available with my children.  They are a rich source of joy in my life.

Just for myself, I might read a great history or a fantasy book, or maybe a biography, or...
sun myself on an ocean beach, or...

Is there an old movie to watch?
A black and white?  An RKO?
The history channel?
Or is there a show about home renovations....

A large furry Cubby cat or a (formerly) lithe
little Rico kitty to purr and nuzzle up beside me.

I could go snooping through some old, dusty, musty, wonderful antique store, especially if I can take Mary with me, or...

Is it time for GroundHog Prom already???

muddling through a forgotten museum, or...

I could go driving down a country road with all the
windows down, and a good breeze
blowing the perfumed scent of alfalfa through the car...

....My time is spent most happily when doing or remembering things such as these.
