Welcome to the Web site of Kakoil. We are an international company for seismic and we are proud to be us. We were established in 1976 by our founder Oleg Shiftiman, who is now our Chairman.

This web site is now been up-vamped and will reflect that we have grown from our origin and now seek to be an international player within the hydrocarbon industry. As a promise to you from us we have a new slogan that we now use to describe our vision. We now say Your Happy is Our Pride and for the most part this is what we mean.

First established in 1976 we now have over 1,600 emplyees and a fleet of six vessels. It is our aim to bring quality and efficiency to the seismic industry as well as providing a specialist role as the industry experts on sub-zero acquisition and processing.

Since the start Kakoil has been a pioneer in the development of all aspects of Arctic exploration and now believes it is positioned as the industry leader. In-house expertise at processing frozen data compliments the success of our acquisition fleet and we now have dedicated reservoir and EMS teams to bring even more value to the data. We are a major player, indeed.

Our headquarters in St.Petersburg is the hub that ensure the smooth running of our fleet and satellite centres, some of which do good work. Kakoil is proud and we hope that this Web site allows you to take some time to share in our proud too...
