The Toastmasters Experience
The Toastmasters experience takes place in a club. Synergy Park Toastmasters Club is made up of about 20 people, mostly from Intervoice, Hewlett-Packard, University of Texas - Dallas, Flex Jet, and Dallas Morning News who gather once a week, at 12:00 noon on Wednesdays. A meeting lasts about an hour and consists of the following:
- A short business session, which gives members a chance to practice parliamentary procedure
- Prepared speeches, based on projects from the basic or advanced Communication and Leadership Program manuals, from one or more of the Club members
- A Table Topics session, giving members the opportunity to participate in impromptu speaking situations
- An evaluation session, during which each speaker is provided with valuable feedback regarding the strengths of the speech, and is provided with information that will assist him or her in problem areas
- A critique of the evaluations, and of the meeting as a whole, by a general evaluator
Besides speaking, each member will also have the opportunity to serve as Toastmaster, Topicmaster, Evaluator, General Evaluator, or helper. Each assignment is rotated among members to provide a variety of experiences.

where Toastmasters Clubs exist.
