CONSULTANT TEACHER PAGE

The Consultant Teacher Program is new to the Conejo Valley Unified School District. The program combines the BTSA [Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment] and CPAR [Conejo Peer Assistance Review]. Beginning teachers are supported by BTSA, a state program administered by the county and experienced teachers will be added next year as part of Peer Assistance Review. The process is both formal and informal and involves up to 20 hours per semester of classroom observation and out-of-class conferencing.

The five consultant teachers chosen for the school year 1999-2000 are Kathy Benioff of Lang Ranch School,Kim Uebelhardt of Colina Middle School, Chris Myren of Acacia School, Chris Thompson of Newbury Park High School and Jack Farrell of Thousand Oaks High School. The five consultants are pictured here in the lobby of the District Office (South) after a September in-service:

The remainder of this page will be used as a method of communication for Jack Farrell, Consultant Teacher, and the 15 beginning teachers assigned to him for the school year, 1999-2000. The teachers, their schools and teaching schedules appear below:
