Counseling
The counseling component of the Upward Bound Program has specific objectives it will strive to accomplish during the summer program.
These objectives are to:
1. Provide personal counseling and advising for all students
2. Provide a social and vocational counseling program for all students which will enhance their development of positive self-concepts and images.
3. Expose each Upward Bound student to a wide range of vocational and educational choices, through a series of seminars.
4. Promote cultural awareness and enrichment.
In addition to these specific objectives, identified for all Upward Bound students, counseling objectives have been set for students in accordance with each student's classification (bridge, senior, junior, sophomore, and freshmen).
