A FEW THINGS YOUR SHOULD KNOW

Project Upward Bound at Morgan State University is more than a summer program. Project Upward Bound is an all year round program that's main mission is to help high school kids make the best of the knowledge they are gaining from school and to pursue "Higher Education." Along with the academic help the program gives you, they also help you with the assistance in obtaining financial aid for attending college. By giving fee waivers for SAT testing and college applications, the upward bound student has a better chance in reaching thier goals.

Along with classes during both sessions, Morgan State Upward Bound provides tutoring, counseling and cultural activities for the students. The Program also offers enrichment activities and college visits. Upward Bound also provides a 'lil somethin' to keep the parents interested in the program with the Parent Advisory Group.

The requirements for the students to be placed in the program are simple:

(1) Students should meet the income criteria established by the United States Department of Education

or

(2) Students should meet the United States Department of Education's definition of a First Generation student, this means that neither of the student's parents have graduated from a four year institution.

(3) Students should send in a completed application.
