Links To Alternate Religions and Beliefs

These links will lead you to alternate Religions and Beliefs that tend to be very obscure but very important. I hope that you will look at these beliefs with an open mind as to further your understanding of the realities we choose to live in. But let me warn you, while you ponder these beliefs, you may find something that has extreme relavance to your own life, and this could quite possibly change your entire perception of reality.

Monotheistic | Polytheistic | No Gods | Alternate Forms of Christianity | Witchcraft and Wicca | Greek Based Religions | Organizations

Monotheistic

The Church of Roy - A local religious group based on the belief that a man named Roy is God and he is here on earth.

Caodaism - Caodaism is a religion that combines aspects of many major religions, including Buddhism, Confucianism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Taoism, as well as Geniism, an indigenous religion of Viet Nam.

Druse, Druze, Mowahhidoon - A break-away group from Islam that is firmly monotheistic, believing in a single God. Their God has no partner; he is not part of a Trinity.

Eckankar - A monotheistic religion that believes strongly in the duality of the soul and body. This includes the existance of psychic phenomena like soul traveling.

Satanism - A very complex and misunderstood religion. The best way to describe it would be to say that the followers believe that evil rules the world we live in and we might as well have fun with it.

Polytheistic

Asatru (Norse Paganism) - Asatru is an acient religion of the Neo-Pagan, and was originally practiced by the Norse people. Asatru is a polytheistic religion (belief in many gods and goddesses), and they reject any form of discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, language, nationality, race, sexual orientation, or "other divisive criteria".

Celtic Druidism - Druidism consists of the beliefs and practices of the ancient Celtic priesthood.

Goddess Worship - The belief in and worship of female dieties.

No Gods

Humanism - The belief that there is no God and that humans are the supreme beings. They value reason over faith.
- Belief Systems and Religious Humanism

Agnosticism - People who believe that if any Gods exist, one cannot understand their existance, or that there is insufficient proof to conclude that dieties exist or do not exist.

Atheism - An Atheist is a person who does not believe in the existence of a God or Gods.

Shinto - "An amorphous mix of nature worship, fertility cults, divination techniques, hero worship, and shamanism."

Alternate Forms of Christianity

Gnosticism - Ancient And Modern - An early pre-christian religion that believes that they alone truly understand Christ's message, and that other streams of thought within Christianity had misinterpreted Jesus' mission and sayings. (Personal Note: This is the only form of Christianity that I have found that I agree with because it has a reasonable explanation for all of the fallicies in the Bible.)

Witchcraft and Wicca

Witchcraft And Wicca - A very complex belief system that I have little knowledge of. It does have to do with both black and white (or nature) magik.

Greek Based Religions

Discordia - This religion is based on the worshop of Eris, the Greek goddess of chaos and discord. Although, most of the people in the religion don't believe in Eris herself just the idea of worshopping chaos.

Organizations

Religious Tolerance - An incredible site dedicated to providing information about religions and related topics. Most of the links on this page end up here.

Thanks to Scott Zara for providing information about Discordia.
