Only the Goddesses and Gods can initiate you into Their Mysteries. Approach them with an open mind and heart, desirous to allow Them to fill you as a vessel. You need not be wise, only thirsty for knowledge. You need not be smart but you must be willing to love. You don't need to read vast volumes of books but you do need to learn to read the rocks, the rivers and the stars, you must be quick to listen to the wind and the cry of the hawk, the sigh of the sea and the old groans of mountains for it is in these places that all the Mysteries are written.

(your Deity(ies)) and my feet walk upon Your Ancient Path".
Self initiation should be performed in a place made sacred with ritual. This can be in your home or out in the woods, mountains, shore or dessert or whatever place holds the most magick for you. The initiate should do a proper physical and spiritual cleansing ritual beforehand. Fasting for a few days previous is also beneficial but not if you are ill or have chronic medical problems. Prepare a ritual that has significant meaning for you. Remember, you are speaking to your Gods and/or Goddesses and you will know what is the appropriate way to approach Them and what is pleasing to Them.
Initiation is a ever-lasting cycle or spiral of growth and advancement. As your levels of knowledge, devotion and relationship to your Deities expand you will be initiated by Them into each new stage.
