What's Up

Today's neato cutey graphic pulled off the web:

Look Out! Heh, heh. Awww! Coootteee!

Checking in with Drew - Dec 15, 1997

The world turns on its axis seven more times and Drew and Susan change immeasurably. Susan celebrated her birthday on the 10th! Happy birthday Susan. We had a lovely evening, dining at Luba's on Essex Road. Luba's is a Russian bistro with flavourful cooking and an insouciant little vodka list. Na Drovya! (however you spell it!) We sampled a few of the flavoured ones and the food was really, really nice. I recommend it, in fact we are contemplating a 'do' there sometime in the near future, so keep your ears open and check your e-mail, or even check out our Forum - intouch. The address is http://www.customforum.com/intouch/. There maybe some bumpf involved in signing in, but please persist, because I think the results will be worth it. The site can work as a message board, but, excitingly, it has a chat room. If you enter the chat room, you will be able to chat with us or friends or anyone in real-time! That means we could chat with Allan in Tumbarumba or Jane could talk with Gord in Toronto. It's not the phone, there's no voice, but, it is interactive and it's not long-distance charged! Give it a go!

I got a little off the topic of Susan's birthday there. This birthday is the 10th since Susan and I have been boyfriend and girlfriend. So much time. We met working in a WHSmith's in the Eaton Centre in Toronto. Who'd have thought we'd end up married, owning a flat in Hackney, working in information centres in London, England? Who can predict anything. Who can make the sun shine? The Candy Man Can! aren't those "Who have believed it possible?" questions ridiculous?

Enough!

I am endeavouring (last weeks big word, still in the charts for a second straight week!) to expand my collection of e-mail address. Please e-mail me any address of friends that I should be in contact with, or if I don't have yours, send it! You'll probably be able to tell I haven't got yours, because I won't have sent you any e-mail. If I have sent you e-mail, then I have your address. I suppose that's obvious, a frankly, a little off topic.

Frankly this update is getting a little pear-shaped. Pear-shaped is one of those expressions of which I am not certain is in use in Canada, or strictly a British thing. I've been in England so long now, I'm starting to lose track of what accent goes where, where I long certain idioms, etc. Oh, dear.

Look, I'm going to take another stab at an update when I am capable of making more sense. Remember Christmas is coming!

Ta for now!

Drew!
