Fantasy Definitions

For all of you who don't know, or for those who just want a different perspective, here are fantasy definitions by me.

Centaur
A being possesing the head and torso of a human and the body of a horse. Not much is known about them.

Dark Elves or Drow
Evil elves with jet-black skin and red eyes that live underground and worship an evil spider godess. They are immune to many forms of magic and also radiation. They can not stand to be above ground

Dragon
An often large lizard-like carnivorous mammal, often with wings and often fire-breating. They usually have a strong dislike for humans, seeing them as destructive and illogical. They possess superior intelligence and many magical powers, which may include the Gift of Toungs, telepathy, and invisibility

Dream World
The mystical world of dreams, where most mystical and/or magical beings including and especially fairys are said to be from. The dream world is said to be accesible to humans, especially on certain dates, including All Hallow's Eve, the Spring and Fall Equinoxes, the Summer and Winter Solstices, and May Day.

Elf
An often magical being that is tall with pointy ears, usually fair skinned and light haired. They are amazing athletes and can step softly so it looks like they were never even there. Usually live in trees in forests, although you won't find them unless they want you to. Are said to posess many magical powers, most of them unknown.

Faerie
The fairy homeland

Fairy
A magical person, often small that has wings and anteni. Possibly part insect. Often live in trees and are said to be protecters of nature. Possess magical powers including invisibility and the ability to enchant. Are sometimes said to live in the dream world.

Fairy ring
A perfect ring of grass that is growing taller, greener, and lusher than the rest of the area. (the complete opposite of crop circles) This is where fairys come out and dance at night.

Fantasy
Anything that is supposidly not real or not possible because it can't be proven, especially having to do with magic

Faun
A being possesing the head and torso of a human and a goat body from the waist down, only with two legs. Are often red-heads and have goat horns.

Fey
The world where all mystical and/or magical beings are said to be from 2. Any being from the world of Fey

Fire drake
A smaller, less intelligent relative of the dragon, often acting like large house-cats

Gargoyles
Beings created from stone that magicly come to life during the night to protect humans. During the day they are changed back into stone.

Gift of Toungs
A magical power which allows it's owner to speak and understand any language.

Leprachaun
A small being, often green or wearing green that possesses magical gold at the end of rainbows. They possess magical powers including and especially invisibility

Magic
Any force that can not be scientificly explained

Pegasus
A rare and magical flying horse

Pixie
A relative of the fairy, only without wings. Pixies delight in pulling obnoxious but usually harmless tricks.

Satyr
See 'Faun'

Sprite
See 'Fairy'

Unicorn
A rare magical horse with a spiral horn on top of it's head. The horns are said to give them magical powers which may include telepathy, the Gift of Toungs, and Healing
