Part 4. The Bride And The BODY OF CHRIST.

"Message Revised."

The Five Resurrections Each Followed By A Judgment . . .

1. As to the writers belief and doctrine, we are strictly Biblical! We adhere to no denominational beliefs unless what they teach is taken from the true Word of GOD and taught in the correct context. We believe that we are to be busy proclaiming the truths for the present age of Grace, in view of the soon coming of our LORD.

No. 1. We believe in - "The verbal inspiration of the Word of GOD" { 2-Timothy 3:16. }

No. 2. "The Deity of JESUS CHRIST, and the Trinity of the GOD-head" { Titus 2:13, - & - 2-Corinthians 13:14 }.

No. 3. "The total depravity of man, and everlasting punishment of those who reject CHRIST" { Romans Ch. 3, - John 3:36, - & - Revelation Ch. 20:15 }.

No. 4. "Redemption by the blood of CHRIST, and by Grace, not of works" { Titus 3:5; - & - Ephesians 2:8-9 }.

No. 5. "Everlasting life and the security of the Christian" { John 10:29 }.

No. 6. "The personality and everlasting punishment of Satan" { Job Ch. 1, - & - Revelation Ch. 20 }.

No. 7. "The imminent Rapture [ Resurrection ] of the BODY OF CHRIST, followed by the great 7 year Tribulation Period and the literal Millennial Reign of CHRIST as MESSIAH on this earth" { 1-Thessalonians 4:16-18, - 1-Corinthians 15:50-55, - & - Revelation Ch. 20:1-6 }.

The reader will notice that we have put words in parenthesis in the various Bible verses, this is done to help the student have a better understanding of the old King James language which is often a little bewildering to some folks who are not use to that kind of speech. Therefore, please bear with us as we teach the message. A good idea would be to read your Bible along with each verse we have quoted. It is also very important for the student to look up all the added Bible texts that we have referred to in the Message. This will give the reader much added information!

2. The key to the end of the present dispensation and the dispensation that will follow is the middle eastern nations in prophecy. The majority of prophecy concerns the Hebrew nation which will be in the hot bed of troubles right up to the second return of CHRIST. When the present Grace period ends, all members of the BODY OF CHRIST will be 'Raptured: [ Translated into Heaven ].' This will include all of those who have believed by pure faith that JESUS CHRIST has died and shed His blood for them on the Cross to pay the penalty for their sins, and that He arose from the grave after three literal days and three literal nights in His tomb: { I-Thessalonians 4:16-18; - & - 1-Corinthians 15:51-55 }.

3. At that point in time, GOD will begin His prophetic program once again, where He left off with the Hebrews two thousand years ago. Therefore, we find that the prophetic clock begins to tick and GOD will administer His program with the nation of Israel and then the seven year tribulation period will run its course. Anyone who has studied the book of Revelation has read about the "seal and trumpet judgments" and then finally the "bowl judgments." Babylon is to be judged prior to the second coming of our LORD. Thus we see in { Revelation the 19Th chapter } that those in heaven are singing the Alleluia chorus because now the dreaded Tribulation Period, the time of GOD's wrath has ended with MESSIAH's Return.

4. If the reader will notice, at the heading of this message we have mentioned the fact that there are five resurrections that we will try to explain in this part of our message so please bear with us as we approach the subject.

5. After the Battle of Armageddon the "Third Resurrection" is going to take place. Anyone who was under that old prophetic program such as Adam, David, John the Baptist and many others even of those who have suffered death under the reign of the Antichrist and have accepted CHRIST as Saviour, will be raised in this "Third Resurrection" and go into that "thousand year Kingdom Reign of JESUS CHRIST" right here on this present earth. The student must be reminded here that the BODY OF CHRIST will not dwell upon this earth during the 'Millennial Reign of MESSIAH,' our reign with Him as our Head will take place in the Heavens, not on the earth.

6. After the 'Third Resurrection,' at the second return of JESUS CHRIST, which will be the First Resurrection after the Resurrection of the BODY OF CHRIST has taken place, then the marriage of the LAMB OF GOD will take place. Along with this is of course the marriage supper that will follow. All of this takes place in preparation to enter into the Millennial Reign of Messiah. It should be noted that the Scriptures point to "Five different Resurrections." The first one spoken of naturally refers to "The Resurrection of CHRIST from the tomb and later from the Mount of Olives."

7. In { Acts 1: 9-11 } we see Him resurrected from off this earth up into the clouds of heaven. The Scriptures are clear that there will be no resurrection of the unsaved until the time of the "Great white throne judgment," which will be the 5th - resurrection as we will count them. It is also clear that there will be a resurrection of Old Testament Saints at the end of the Tribulation Period { Daniel 12:1-3; - Revelation 11:18; - & - 20:4 }. See { John 5:24-25; - Ezekiel 37:12-14; - & - Isaiah 25:19 }.

8. This is called "The First Resurrection," not because these are the first to be Resurrected, for before this CHRIST and the whole BODY OF CHRIST will have already been Resurrected. The first resurrection mentioned in the book of Revelation is spoken of as the first because it is the first and only Resurrection mentioned in the Tribulation Period dispensation. CHRIST was Resurrected before the BODY OF CHRIST was begun to be called out as a Christian BODY. That means that the LORD was translated in a previous dispensation. The BODY OF CHRIST then is Resurrected in the last part of its own dispensation. This means that there are three Resurrections still to take place in the next three dispensations.

9. The first of these three, is the one spoken of above which takes place at the second coming of CHRIST. There will be a judgment and a rewarding of the Old Testament Saints at the first Resurrection which we have stated will occur at CHRIST's second coming to the earth according to { Revelation 11: 18; - & - 20: 4- 6 }. The Old Testament and Tribulation Saints whose expectation and Blessed Hope is to inherit the Messianic Kingdom will have this hope realized in their First Resurrection. Therefore, having Saints in resurrected and in natural bodies living together in the Kingdom may pose a problem to some. But it should be remembered that CHRIST Himself will eat and drink in the Kingdom in His resurrected body. As we have also stated, there is a Second Resurrection mentioned in { Revelation 20:11-15; - 21: 8; - & - John 5: 29 }. This refers to the lost of all ages who will be judged at the White Throne Judgment which we will call a 5th resurrection in this message.

10. We should understand that the Rapture of the BODY OF CHRIST is no where in Scripture mentioned as a First Resurrection. On the other-hand common sense should tell us that it is the first and the last resurrection in our Grace Dispensation for no other is spoken of for CHRIST's BODY of Saints. The Second Resurrection that concerns the lost dead takes place after the end of the future Kingdom dispensation which we have already mentioned. The Resurrections in Scripture have been misunderstood down through this whole Grace age. And, we should point out that it has been difficult for Bible students to pinpoint each phase of the various resurrections in a perfect manner. We do find . . .

11. NO. 1: The LORD being Resurrected after He fulfilled the Law on the Cross in A.D. 30 which was at the end of the Law Dispensation where JESUS finally brought His Kingdom Administration to a place in history where it was set aide for at least a two thousand year period. After the day of Pentecost there followed a partial judgment of Israel for rejecting their king. We repeat only a partial judgment with the destruction of their temple in A.D. 70. The Kingdom administration that had began with John the Baptist, CHRIST and His 12 Apostles was set aside at A.D. 70 and will again be reestablished a short time after the Rapture of the BODY OF CHRIST. Concerning CHRIST's Resurrection see { Acte 1:22 }. Also we find that at CHRIST's Resurrection He emptied the Paradise section of Hades and Raptured the Saints that were therein up into Paradise along with Himself, read the following verse about the thief who died on a cross beside JESUS and was told by the LORD . . .,

=========================

12. Scripture: "And JESUS said to him 'Verily [ assuredly' ] I say to you, To day shall you be with Me in Paradise, { Luke 23:43 }."

 =========================

13. Commentary . . . Therefore, sometime later after JESUS and the thief had spent time in Paradise down in Hades where Abraham and Lazarus were at that time, JESUS raised Paradise up into the third Heaven!

=========================

14. { V. 8 } Scripture: "Therefore He said, When 'He [ CHRIST' ] ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

15. { V. 9 }: ( Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

16. { V. 10 }: He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all Heavens, that He might fill all things" ), { Ephesians 4:8-10 }."

=========================

17. Commentary . . . These verses apply to more than one thing, "He ascended," now what can this, "He ascended," mean but that His soul and spirit at the time of His death on the Cross had previously descended from the Cross into the depth, "the lower parts of the earth? Thus, He Who descended is the very same as He Who also has ascended high above all the Heavens, that He [ His presence ] might fill all things . . . I.e., the whole universe, from the lowest to the highest! And, this proves that only CHRIST fits the description that is given. The words in { V. 8 } that CHRIST "gave gifts unto men," refers to { Vs. 11- 16 }, so the reader can see that there is a double meaning in { V. 8 }, [ "1: He led captivity," "2: He gave gifts to men."

18. What about Paradise?: "Before the BODY OF CHRIST begin to be formed, Old Testament and Kingdom Saints at the time of their death were taken into the Paradise section down in Hades to reside until Paradise would be changed from Hades to the "Third Heaven" where CHRIST was raised to at the time of His own Resurrection. No one could be raised from the dead before CHRIST, He had to be the first. To prove this read on . . .

=========================

19. Scripture: "That CHRIST should suffer, and that He should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show 'light [ i.e., understanding' ] unto 'the people [ of Israel' ], and to the Gentiles, { Acts 26:23 }.

=========================

20. { V. 20 } Scripture: "But now is CHRIST risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept :

21. { V. 21 }: For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22. { V. 22 }: For as in Adam all die, even so in CHRIST shall "all" be made alive.

23. { V. 23 }: But every man in his own order: CHRIST the firstfruits; afterward they that are CHRIST's at His coming, { 1- Corinthians 15:20-23 }."

=========================

24. The above 4 verses paraphrased in commentary form . . . { 20 } Scripture: "But now is CHRIST risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept i.e., in death, and was the first of the dead that could be resurrected from the dead . . . { 21 }: For since it was through a man called Adam that death came into the world, it is also through a Man JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF that the resurrection of the dead has come. . . { 22 }: For just as [ i.e., or because of union of nature ] in Adam all people die, so also [ by virtue of their union of nature ] shall all in CHRIST be made alive. [ The unregenerate are in Adam. The regenerate are in CHRIST ]. . { 23 }: But each person in their own order: The LORD JESUS CHRIST being the first fruits, and those who belong to CHRIST will be resurrected at His coming to Rapture His Saints."

========

25. Commentary . . . It is true that Enoch and Elijah were raised from the earth without dying, but they obviously were the first to enter into Paradise of Hades. But, CHRIST Who was and is GOD in His glorified body of flesh had to be the first of the dead to enter Heaven!

=========================

26. { V. 38 } Scripture: ". . . Certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from you. { V. 39 }: But 'He [ JESUS' ] answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: { V. 40 }: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the SON OF MAN be three days and three nights in the 'heart [ i.e., down in the center' ] of the earth, { Matthew 12:38-40 }." =========================

27. Scripture: "And from JESUS CHRIST, Who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten from the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His Own blood, { Revelation 1:5 }."

=========================

28. The above verse 5 paraphrased in commentary form . . . Scripture: "And from JESUS CHRIST, Who is the faithful and trustworthy witness, and the "first begotten from the dead, [ that is, the first to enter the third Heaven after being brought back to life" ] and the 'Prince [ Ruler' ] of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His Own blood, [ i.e., Once for all loosed and freed us from our sins by His Own blood ], { Revelation 1:5 }." See { Psalm 89:27. } [ But, JESUS was not the first to enter Paradise! ]

29. Commentary . . . We know by what Paul stated that Paradise was in the "third Heaven" in Paul's time. Paul stated . . .

=========================

30. { V. 1 } Scripture: "It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the LORD. . . . { V. 2 }: I know a man in CHRIST above fourteen years ago, [ whether in the body, I cannot tell, or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: GOD knows; ] such an one caught up to the 'third heaven'. . . { V. 3 }: And I know such a man, [ whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: GOD knows; ] . . . { V. 4 }: How that he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which is not lawful for a man to utter, { 2- Corinthians 12:2-4 }."

=========================

31. Commentary . . . In the previous chapter 11 the Apostle Paul gloried in that which in the eyes of man has no glory at all. From the humiliating experience of being let down in a basket he turns to another experience in which he was caught up into the third Heaven. He had said "I will come to visions and revelations of the LORD." Of these he had undoubtedly had many, given to him by the LORD, to comfort and strengthen him. We would never have heard of this great spiritual experience he speaks of now, if he had not felt the need of boasting on account of the deceiving teachers among the Corinthians. He had kept it a secret to himself for fourteen years; an evidence of his humility. In telling us of this experience he does not speak of himself as the Apostle, but "as a man in CHRIST." It was therefore not a distinction put upon him on account of his calling as an Apostle. As a man in CHRIST, that is, a heavenly man, for such every Child of GOD is, he was taken up in a marvelous, unaccountable way, into the Heavenly sphere.

32. "Paul was in a state neither intelligible to himself nor explicable to his brethren. Yet he knew very well the man, and can attest to visions which he was unable to describe. It was himself, but in a condition equally distinct from nature and ordinary spiritual experience. He had while in this state a faculty of perception independent of both bodily and mental organs." He was in a state, undefined by himself, caught up into the third Heaven and being caught up into Paradise, he heard unspeakable words, which is not allowed for man to utter. The word "Paradise" is found but three times in the New Testament. The LORD used it first in speaking to the dying thief { Luke 23:43 } promising him that he would be with Him in that blessed place that very day. Once more the LORD uses this word, promising the overcomer to eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the Paradise of GOD, { Revelation 2:7 }."

33. The passage here is the third in which the word is used. It is the wonderful place above in GOD's glorious presence, and Paul's being caught up to the place, had a foretaste of the joys and blessings of the redeemed. But he does not tell us anything he saw, but only what he heard. And the words he heard were unutterable . . . he had not the ability nor the permission to make them known. Thus the Apostle, to whom the great truth concerning the BODY OF CHRIST and "his [ masculine" ] Heavenly destiny was especially committed, passed through this great experience. And all who are in "CHRIST," who constitute the BODY OF CHRIST, will ultimately be caught up in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air and to forever be with the LORD! Therefore, by these above verses we have proof that Paradise had been replaced from the heart of the earth up into the abode of GOD into the third Heaven! And, this obviously took place when CHRIST Himself was Resurrected. [ CHRIST's BODY of Saints is in the masculine gender. ]

========

34. NO. 2: The BODY OF CHRIST will be Resurrected at the end of this present Dispensation of the mystery, with the judgment of Israel and the nations following in the Tribulation Period .

========

35. No. 3: The bodies of the saved Old Testament dead and the tribulation dead Saints will be Resurrected at the end of the Tribulation Period Dispensation, { Daniel Ch. 12 }, and the judgment of the nations following. { Matthew 25:31-46. } Concerning the believing Hebrew dead, and the believing dead of the Tribulation, and their Resurrection . . . we find a double meaning in the verse below . . .

=========================

36. Scripture: "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some [ a thousand years later ] to shame and everlasting contempt, { Daniel 12:2 }."

=========================

37. Commentary . . . of the above verse . . . The deliverance of which we read in this verse and the awakening of those "who sleep in the dust of the earth" has in the past been grossly misinterpreted. Because expositors have failed to see the application of all this to the Jews in their future history in their promised land, and to even some people of the nations who had before hand, been Gentiles. Many have read and erroneously placed the BODY OF CHRIST in this old Testament prophecy, and even apply this resurrection to a general resurrection on a general judgment day. But, we shall see now what is meant by the deliverance of Daniel's people and others. . . . The fact is, there is a double meaning to the above verse that may surprise many Bible students . . . [ No - 1 ]: One meaning of this prophecy is that . . .

38. Physical resurrection [ as so often stated by various people: is a general resurrection world-wide ] is not taught here in this verse. This resurrection is used as a figure of the national revival only of Israel in that day. They have been sleeping nationally in the dust of the earth, buried among the Gentiles. But, at a future time when MESSIAH returns to set up His Millennial Kingdom, there will take place a national restoration, in bringing together of the house of Judah and of Israel. This is the same figure as used in the vision of the dry bones in { Ezekiel Ch. 37 }. Any good Bible student can see that this text does "NOT" concern the Gentiles or the BODY OF CHRIST of this Grace age but the Jewish people. The BODY OF CHRIST is never found any where in the Old Testament Dispensation!

39. [ No - two ]: The second meaning of this verse refer to the dead bodies of "Believing Israelis" who have died in the past right on up to the return of MESSIAH. And, we believe that this also involves the many in the world's nation who had been Gentiles and have been born again to CHRIST during the Great Tribulation Period. We repeat . . . This { V. 2 }: predicts the resurrection of the righteous dead of 0ld Testament times as well as the righteous martyrs of the Tribulation at the Second Coming of MESSIAH see { Revelation 20:4-6 }. It is a must that Bible students study these verses dogmatically along with { Matthew 25:31-46 } where MESSIAH returns and judges the world's nations in the parable of the sheep and the goats, and only those who are alive will be judged in that particular Judgment! Some Theologians have taught that { V. 2 } has nothing to do with a resurrection of the bodies of dead Saints. We beg to differ. If this has nothing to do with dead Saints, then when will the Old Testament and tribulation dead Saints be raised? What about the many martyrs who will have been killed during the Tribulation Period? What about their dead bodies?

In the above verse the resurrection of the wicked is also referred to who will not be resurrected for another thousand years after MESSIAH's Millennial reign has fulfilled its course and will face GOD on His throne at the Great White Throne Judgment!

========

40. No. 4: At the very end of MESSIAH's 1000 year Reign, Satan will be loosed from the pit where he has been imprisoned and he will be allowed to have his way again with the world's people, but for only a very short period of time. The prophet states . . .

=========================

41. { V. 7 } Scripture: "And 'when [ after' ] the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison:

42. { V. 8 }: And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, together with them to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea:

43. { V. 9 }: And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the Saints about, and the be-loved city: [ Jerusalem ] and fire came down from GOD out of Heaven, and devoured them, { Revelation 20:7-9 }." What about the wicked dead?

=========================

44. Commentary of the above three verses . . . Satan at the time of the Second Return of MESSIAH, who had been placed into the "abyss in the hell of Hades" for a thousand years, had spent that millennium in a state of suffering torment. And now he is loosed out of his prison for a short reprieve, for how long the Scripture does not say. MESSIAH permits him to come forth once more because there is still sinful people on the Millennial earth that must pay a price for their iniquity. Many ministers and other folks have been taught that the Millennial Reign of MESSIAH would consist of a world that would be a place completely void of any type of sin. They were - and are very wrong in their thinking!

45. Who would have ever thought that Satan would return to cause suffering upon the earth? The archenemy who had done his vile and wicked work among the human race, for a thousand years put at least into the place of perfect restraint, and now loosed once more to continue, for a brief season, to do more of his evil work! And, he finds nations ready for his deception, not a few, but a number "as the sand of the sea." GOD permits Satan to come out of his prison in Hell, so that the absolute corruption of man might be demonstrated. Man has been tried and tested under every possible condition. He has failed in every age. He failed under the Law and he failed even more in our present Grace- Dispensation. And, now under the most glorious conditions, during CHRIST's most wonderful Millennial Reign, when the LORD Himself is known in all the earth by every person, man still sins wholeheartedly. MESSIAH will be reigning in complete righteousness, when nearly all the sorrows of a ruined creation have been banished. He will be reigning when there is complete peace on the whole earth, and yet man fails and does not fully respond to a gracious LORD.

46. But here is a difficulty which many have. Many a sincere Post-millennialist, who have studied the pre-millennial coming of our LORD, has asked this question, "If the whole world is converted at the very beginning of MESSIAH's Millennial reign with not one lost person in-terring into that thousand year period, how is it then that Satan finds nations ready to side with him after the thousand years of complete peace with GOD Himself on the throne, over the entire world, then Satan is brought forth to lead many of them to destruction?" The difficulty is far from being as great as it is generally thought to comprehend. Read on . . .

Lost Sinners Judged At The Last Judgment . . .

47. { V. 10 } Scripture: "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. [ about the two men called the beast and false prophet, read { Revelation chapter 13 }.

48. { V. 11 }: And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

49. { V. 12 }: And I saw the dead, small and great, stand 'before GOD; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

========

50. { V. 12 } above paraphrased in commentary form . . . "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand 'before GOD; and 'the [ Many' ] books [ that contains every thought, word, and deed of every person on earth or has ever been on this earth ] were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and 'the [ wicked' ] dead 'were [ i.e., will be' ] judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." [ In verse 12 where it says: "Before GOD," this means . . . "i.e., literally; before the throne, upon which CHRIST sits as judge, read again verse 11, see also { John 5:22, 27 }."

========

51. { V. 13 }: And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and 'death and hell [ i.e., all lost people which were in the hell of Hades' will ] deliver up the dead which were in them: and they 'were [ future tense ] judged every man [ and woman ] according to their works.

52. { V. 14 }: And death and 'hell [ Hades' ] 'were [ future tense' ] cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

53. { V. 15 }: And, whosoever was not found written in the book of life 'was [ will be - future tense' ] cast into the lake of fire, { Revelation 20:10-15 }." See { Isaiah 26:14 } - [ This will also include all the wicked angels and demons ].

=========================

54. Commentary of the above 6 verses . . . Here is pictured the judgment of the unbelieving dead. It occurs at the close of MESSIAH's Millennial reign: it is based on works, in order to show that the punishment is deserved { V. 12 }, though of course all the unsaved people are first of all in this judgment because they rejected CHRIST as Savior during their lifetimes }; and it results in everyone in this judgment being cast into the eternal lake of fire. This is the resurrection unto condemnation { John 5:29 }.

========

55. Notice that only one resurrection has taken place in each time period and each resurrection of Saints are counted as "First Resurrections." Now that the Millennium has ended, still there are people on this earth and Satan is once more allowed to victimize the world's population. But then he is quickly overcome and cast along with his followers into hell. What will take place next? The judgment of the earth by fire. Since the First 4 Resurrections take place, one each in their own dispensation, they are all counted as First Resurrections, for they each only consist of Saved Believers, but Resurrection . . .

56. No. 5: Is counted as the Second Resurrection because it has to do with the Second Death or Hell, and it is the last with the great White Throne Judgment and the Lake of fire following.

57. The fourth Resurrection is not mentioned in our Bible but GOD is not going to allow His Kingdom Saints to be destroyed when He purges this earth with fire. So naturally He will remove them from the earth before the earth's elements are burned up. So you see the judgment of fire takes place after this last First Resurrection. Concerning this last first Resurrection, [ be sure to read our message which concerns the many Temples of GOD which brings out the conclusion of the 4th first Resurrection ]. We have seen that the Translation of all Saints at the different Resurrections have all been First Resurrections one each in their own Dispensational time periods. But, this Last Resurrection "number 5" is called the Second Death. { Revelation 20:6 }. The Second Death has no power over the Saints of GOD.
