Part Eight Of The Bride And BODY OF CHRIST "Revised."

Foretold In The "Song Of Solomon."

The reader will notice that we have put words in parenthesis in the various Bible verses, this is done to help the student have a better understanding of the old King James language which is often a little bewildering to some folks who are not use to that kind of speech. Therefore, please bear with us as we teach the message. A good idea would be to read your Bible along with each verse we have quoted. It is also very important for the student to look up all the added Bible texts that we have referred to in the Message. This will give the reader much added information!

To give meaning to every detail of this little 8 chapter Book would take much time and much space, therefore we will try to bring out only the high points of this Song. The reason this book has been so difficult to explain for so long is because it has been misinterpreted by most teachers to refer to this age of Grace period so many times. Also, in the phraseology of the Book as a parabolical representation has caused many misinterpretations! Many will say that it is just a love story between king Solomon and perhaps one of his many wives, and take it as a straightforward literal story of the king's past history. Truthfully, the book should be classified just as much of a prophetic Book as any other Book of prophecy. The Book of Daniel is said to have hidden interpretations that would not be understood until the last days. obviously the same thing can be said of "The Song Of Songs."

=========================

1. Many in past ages have had great difficulty in understanding why such a story as this should have a place in the canon of the Scriptures. These folks questioned each other as to whether this small book was really entitled to be considered as a part of GOD's Word. When we study more diligently, we find that JEHOVAH settles this question for us.

2. The LORD made it very clear that the Hebrew Scriptures were to be recognized as the inspired Word of the living GOD. Down through the centuries, many of the spiritually minded Hebrews recognized that these eight chapters were written to picture the love relationship between MESSIAH's future Bride, the Hebrew people, and Himself.

3. The book consists of a series of love phrases between the Bridegroom and His Betrothed Bride. Solomon, in these chapters, is viewed of GOD as a type of the coming MESSIAH when He will return as the PRINCE of Peace. Whenever any man is spoken of as a type of CHRIST, you are not to think of what the man is in himself, but what he is officially. King David was a type of CHRIST; but he also was guilty of sin. When we see JESUS, we see a sinless CHRIST.

4. Solomon was guilty of several serious sins during various periods of his life, but nevertheless in many cases he represented JESUS in type as the PRINCE of Peace. Throughout the Scriptures JEHOVAH made it well known that He someday would return for His "Betrothed wife Israel" and that He was going to make her His Bride!

5. The mystical and spiritual meaning of the Book "The Song of Solomon" has always been recognized. The Hebrews have looked upon it with this understanding and some orthodox Hebrews forbade it to be read until a person had reached the age of thirty which was the age of maturity for a man in Israel. This small Epistle has been called by the Hebrews "The Holy of Holies." Hebrew interpretation has truthfully explained this Love- Song as typifying the love of JEHOVAH for His people, the Hebrew nation, and His union with His beloved, betrothed people.

6. When reading this message please take note that the "Shulamite, the Betrothed, the Remnant, the Hebrews, and the Nation of Israel" when mentioned are all synonymous with each other. Also many times, we will refer to the saved Remnant of Israel as a "SHE." Israelites, who will become Believers in CHRIST after the Rapture of the BODY OF CHRIST, will become a part of the Bride of CHRIST at His Second Coming. The other part of the Bride is in Heaven which include the O.T. Saints. So please bear with us as we study the various passages together.

7. This great Song shows forth the true affections which JEHOVAH, MESSIAH, the future King, creates in the 'hearts [ minds' ] of this Hebrew Remnant at the time of the re-establishment of their relationship with Himself. We repeat, this nation will once again enter into that relationship which has been set aside for the last two thousand years.

8. Here, then, is the great revelation in mystical form of MESSIAH's devoted love for His saved Remnant of Hebrew people, and the heart felt response which is returned to Him from that Remnant. The reader will notice that we spell Remnant with a capital R, because the Remnant is primarily what the message is all about. JEHOVAH's love for them is made very plain by His statement below . . .

=========================

9. Scripture "For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you: and as the Bridegroom rejoices over the Bride, so shall your GOD rejoice over you, { Isaiah 62:5 }." [ This is the LORD speaking here ].

=========================

10. Scripture: "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O GOD, beside you what He [ MESSIAH ] has prepared for him 'that [ earnestly' ] waits for Him, { Isaiah 64:4 }."

=========================

11. Scripture: "They say if a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return to her again? Shall not that land be greatly polluted? But, 'you [ Israel' ] have played the harlot with 'many lovers [ false gods' ]; yet [ would you ever ] return again to Me? says the LORD, [ or do you ever think of returning to Me? ], { Jeremiah 3:1 }." Read { Ezekiel Ch. 16 - & - 23 }.

=========================

12. Scripture: "And JESUS said to them, can the children of the bride chamber mourn, as long as the Bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the Bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast, { Matthew 9:15 }." See also { Matthew 22: 2; - 25:1; - John 3:29; - & - Revelation 19:7; 22:17 }.

=========================

13. Commentary . . . The Bridegroom was taken from the children of the bride chamber, or as we should point out: from the Betrothed Hebrew Nation at the time of His death in A.D. 30. Forty years later the Hebrew Temple was destroyed in A.D. 70; and the whole Hebrew race has fasted, and suffered since that time. They even today, two thousand years later, cry and plead and leave notes with their prayers written on them in the cracks between the stones of the wailing wall in Jerusalem hoping for the coming of MESSIAH Who has been promised for so long. They had been very ignorant in the past. He came to them as He had long before promised, but because of their foolish hearts, He was rejected by them. As the Parable stated: He was at their door knocking but they refused to let Him in.

14. When one studies the Song of Solomon, the application to the future Remnant of Hebrews must never be forgotten. It must be understood that this Song is on Hebrew ground and is applied to the future Hebrew nation of true believers. Furthermore, this book is for the BODY OF CHRIST to understand but is not applied in any way to us except in a shadow form. We should see that the perfect assurance of that perfect love, which we know as members of CHRIST's BODY, is lacking in this Song. This whole Song is applied to a Remnant of a future nation and NOT to a BODY of true blood bought Christians of this age of Grace! In GOD's sight, His present BODY, His adopted Children are perfect in Him. The same "CANNOT" be said concerning Israel until the LORD's return for only a small Remnant of them. In chapter one, we find the Bride or perhaps we should say the Betrothed speaks first. She is occupied with the one she loves so very much. She says . . .

=========================

15. Scripture: "Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth: for 'Your [ MESSIAH's ] love is better than wine, { Ch. 1:2 }." =========================

16. The above verse paraphrased in commentary form: "Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth": [ she cries. Then realizing that Solomon has arrived and has heard her speech, turning to Him she adds ]: "for your love is better than wine, { Ch. 1:2 }."

========

17. Commentary . . . You notice that she does not mention His name; there is only one love for this lady, [ the future Bridegroom MESSIAH Himself ]. The kisses expresses reconciliation, see { Luke 15:20 }. The kiss is a token of peace and affection. The Remnant of Hebrews will long for their Bridegroom, for reconciliation, for peace, and for His affections. And, we can see that many Israelis are beginning to do that at this very time today. Today the BODY OF CHRIST already have every assurance of our reconciliation in the HEAD of the BODY; we have perfect peace in Him and we enjoy His eternal affection. MESSIAH's love is better then wine. In { Ch. 1:2 } . . . Wine is a symbol of earthly joys and pleasures. In { Ch. 1:3 } . . . We find that His name is spoken of as being "Ointment being poured forth."

18. This is because the LORD gives all of Himself in love to all people. The virgins spoken of here who love Him, represent the future Hebrew Remnant who welcome Believers and who will reject the "Mark of the Beast," they will keep themselves separated from the carnality and ungodliness of the future Tribulation Period. The Parable of the "Ten Virgins" is a very good picture of this. See { Revelation 14:1-5 }. { Ch. 1:4 }. . . This engaged Remnant, who will become the LORD's Bride at His Second Coming, has a desire to be drawn closer to Him. The King then brings her Into "His chambers [ Kingdom" ], typifying full communion of love. Only joy and rejoicing can be the results. See { Revelation 19:7 }. The land of the Israelites was primarily a country of people who practiced the trade of raising sheep. Those who tended large flocks of sheep, therefore, were known as shepherds. Concerning Israel, according to most Bible students, the nation is spoken of as being in the female gender. When we speak of her as a "She," we are referring to the saved "Remnant of the Hebrews" that will have "made themselves ready for their Bridegroom, MESSIAH, at His second return to this earth." Read the verse below where this Remnant will have made herself ready for Him . . .

=========================

19. Scripture: "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to 'Him [ Messiah' ]: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and 'His [ betrothed' ] wife has made herself ready, { Revelation 19:7 }."

=========================

20. Commentary . . . In the { Song. 1:5-6 } . . . The Shulamite confesses that she Is black. She has very dark skin because she has been In the sun most of her life. She states "look not upon me because I am black, because the sun has looked upon me." She, the whole Hebrew nation known as shepherds naturally were dark in appearance because of the sun boring down on them while tending their flocks. They have been persecuted throughout the countries of the world and have passed through the terrible heat of affliction and sorrow, but still she is pictured as being very beautiful and MESSIAH will dress her In robes of righteousness when He returns.

=========================

21. { V. 8 } Scripture: "Now when I passed by you, and looked upon you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread My skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: [ MESSIAH says ]: "Yes, I swear unto you, and entered into a covenant with you, saith the LORD GOD, and you became Mine."

22. { V. 9 }: Then I washed you with water; yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, [ He cleansed the nation from the wickedness that she had- had pored upon her when she had been living under the rule of the nations during her captivity ] and I anointed you with oil. [ anointed her as His Bride and with the HOLY SPIRIT ]. . . .

23. { V. 10 }: I clothed you also with broidered work, and shod you with badgers' skin, and I girded you about with fine linen, and I covered you with silk,

24. { V. 11 }: I decked you also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon your hands, and a chain on your neck,

25. { V. 12 }: And I put a jewel on your forehead, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown upon your head.

26. { V. 13 }: "Thus were you decked with gold and silver; and your raiment was fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; you did eat fine flower, and honey, and oil: and you was exceeding beautiful, and you did prosper into a Kingdom, { Ezekiel 16:8-13 }."

=========================

27. Commentary . . . The reader can see that this is a type of what is to take place between Israel as the Bride and Messiah the Groom at the LORD's Second Coming. It should be remembered that Ezekiel is a unique major prophetic Book of prophecy and eschatology!

=========================

28. Scripture: "Spread therefore your skirt over your handmaid; for you are a near kinsman, { Ruth 3:9 }."

=========================

29. Commentary . . . This ritual in { V. 9 } above was performed as a pledge that he would marry her. This is the same expression that was used in { Ezekiel. V. 8 } above and is given to show the relationship between Israel and her coming MESSIAH in the last day. And now, the Remnant having become perfected, grown up into full maturity, she will become the Bride of CHRIST. Read again { V. 13 } above.

30. { 8 }, "I spread My skirt over you," This was an act that symbolized the marriage ceremony, read again { Ruth 3:9 }. { V. 12 }: above shows that the LORD's Remnant will have a crown on her head as a symbol - as a badge of the Bride and her place during MESSIAH's reign as his Queen, 'as being consort of the King,' and she will become "a kingdom of priests" { Exodus 19:6; - & - Revelation 1:6 }. "The daughters of Jerusalem" that this Bride is talking to in { Song 1:5 } are the people of Israel who have no knowledge as yet of the true MESSIAH. The nation of Israel in the past, and will in the future, be called "the keeper of the vineyard," as mentioned in { Ch. 1:6 }. In other words, she "Israel" was to be a keeper of the nations of the world and also to be a blessing to these nations. Israel, by GOD's Grace, was used to bring forth the Word of GOD that the nations have today. We believe that the whole 66 books of our Bible was written by GOD's inspired 'Hebrews [ Jews' ], so all Christianity have the Israelites to thank for our present, HOLY SPIRIT inspired, Bible. But, we also are aware, that 'she [ the Hebrew nation' ] has drastically failed in many other ways. She has not even been able to keep her own nation following JEHOVAH or from sin. Therefore, she confesses all this to Him to Whom she longs for and now knows.

31. She, as an engaged lady, is looking forward to the future wedding and wants to be with her Bride-Groom and to belong to Him wherever He resides. She seeks shelter in the place where He makes His flock rest at noon { Ch. 1:7 }, because her soul loves Him, He, as far as she is concerned, has become the Shepherd of the Hebrew nation and He has found all His sheep. { V. 7 }, points to the time when the "Remnant of Israel, as MESSIAH's sheep," will depart into the wilderness and dwell in the old nation of Edom, in a place known as Petra. This is the place where all the most well studied Theologians believe that the Hebrew Remnant will hide out and dwell in the last three and a half years of the Tribulation Period. It is believed that the people will be given manna to eat for this period as their forefathers were during the forty years in the wilderness of the Sinai Peninsula after escaping Egypt. At the close of the Tribulation, or "the time of Jacob's trouble," see { Jeremiah 30:7 }, the Hebrews will be hiding in Petra, or "SELA." This place is located in the old and small nation of Edom in southwestern present day Jordan.

32. Petra was a major City in Edom and is at this time a very desolate land and is not inhabited except by a few who use it for tourist income. After the present day BODY OF CHRIST Dispensation ends, the saved BODY will have been Raptured into Heaven, then a seven year "One World Government" will begin, this is called the "Tribulation Period." In the last three and a half years of that Government, the Hebrew Remnant that are still alive will hide in Petra in the place which will be in a state of readiness and has been prepared of GOD. They will hide there because of fear of the Antichrist. After the three and one half years have ended, MESSIAH will reveal Himself to them. { Ezekiel 36:24-27 }. A large part of the Remnant of Israel will accept MESSIAH in 'Petra [ or Sela' ], which is in present day Jordan. We have spoken of this before in this message but we feel that we must emphasize the fact that this, we believe, is where the Remnant will flee to from Antichrist.

=========================

33. { V. 5 } Scripture: "And she [ the engaged Remnant ] brought forth a male child, [ CHRIST born approximately B.C. 4? ] who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her Child was caught up to GOD, and to His throne [ after His death on the Cross ].

34. { V. 6 }" And the woman fled into 'the wilderness, [ of Petra' ] where she has a place prepared by GOD, that they [ the LORD's Angels ] should feed her there 'a thousand two hundred and three-score days [ 3 and a half years' ], { Revelation 12:5-6 }." The woman is Israel who brought forth CHRIST.

=========================

35. Commentary . . . Many people would like to keep these above two verses together as they are written, but the fact is, there is at least a "two thousand year" period between { V. 5 } and { V. 6 }. When studying the years in prophecy, we must remember that it was 2,000 years from Adam till Abraham - without the Law; and 2,000 years from Abraham to CHRIST that was mostly 'WITH' the Law, and under the Law; since that time there has been: 2,000 years under Grace, then there will be 1,000 years under MESSIAH the King of Kings! Naturally in verse 5 the text is speaking about the LORD JESUS CHRIST and His birth and later His Resurrection. And { V. 6 }, is talking about the last three and a half years of the Great Tribulation that is yet future. What a perfect description of present day Petra in southern Jordan! This is alluded to in { Matthew 24:16-21 }:

=========================

36. Scripture: "When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, [ whosoever reads, let him understand ], { Matthew 24:15 }."

=========================

37. Commentary . . . We believe that the abomination of desolation mentioned above refers to a computer speaking image that will be placed by the false prophet of the one world false church system, into the rebuilt Jerusalem Temple. This image of the World leader, which is type of the Antichrist, is to be worshipped as a god by the unbelieving host of this world. This will take place three and a half years after the BODY OF CHRIST has been Raptured from this earth! At the very moment that statue is placed in the Temple, the Hebrews must immediately leave everything behind and flee. They must hurry to that hiding place mentioned above, to be protected for the remaining three and a half years of the Tribulation Period and then CHRIST the MESSIAH will appear to free them.

38. We also believe that this will take place very soon because of the degradation that is mushrooming world-wide at the present time upon this earth. As to the number of the Hebrew Remnant, the Scripture is silent. We do know according to { Revelation Ch. 12 } that many of the Remnant will be killed especially in the last half of that 7 year period. At least two thirds of all the Hebrews on earth will be killed in that 7 year period. There is no doubt that many Hebrews will fail to go to a hiding place, because millions of them will be living in other nations, thus, a large part of them will be murdered.

=========================

39. { V. 8 } Scripture "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, says the LORD, two parts therein shall be 'cut off [ murdered' ] and die; but the 'third [ part of the remaining Hebrews' ] shall be left therein.

40. { V. 9 }: And I will bring the third part through 'the fire, [ of the remainder of the Great Tribulation Period' ] and will refine them as silver is refined, and try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, it is My people: and they shall say, the LORD is my GOD, { Zechariah 13:8-9 }." . . . be sure to read { Ezekiel 5:12-13 }.

=========================

41. Commentary . . . The LORD in these verses is not talking about Gentiles, or Christians, the text here only concerns the Hebrew nation. Supposition is that there are somewhere around 15 million Hebrews alive on this earth at the present time. Let's say as a guess that this is true, this means that at least ten million of the Hebrews during the Tribulation Period will be killed. As we have before stated, no Believer at that time will accept the mark of the Beast. Therefore the world leader, after declaring that all the world must worship him as a god, will persecute and kill those who will not worship him.

=========================

42. Scripture: ". . . And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of JESUS, and for the word of GOD, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with CHRIST a thousand years, { Revelation Ch. 20:4 }."

=========================

43. Commentary . . . Although one third of the Hebrews will be left alive and will be protected by CHRIST . . ., because of the fact that He has to protect them is a type of persecution in itself. Other than the Hebrews, think about all the thousands upon thousands of Saved people who had been Gentiles and later become Saints and therefore, have rejected the mark of the Beast, they will have to face the beheading block with no protection offered to them at all! We have mentioned that when the middle of the Tribulation Period takes place, the Hebrew Remnant must immediately go into the wilderness to hide from their enemies. . . . But, where can the rest of humanity that became Believers hide from those who persecute them?

=========================

44. { V. 15 } Scripture: "When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place,

45. { V. 16 }: "Then let them who are in Judaea flee into the mountains."

========

46. The above { Vs. 15-16 } above paraphrased in commentary form . . . { 15 } Scripture: "When you therefore shall see 'the abomination of desolation [ a computerized idol' ], spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, [ 'whosoever reads ( this' ) let him understand. ] [ This takes place in the middle of the Tribulation Period. ] See { Daniel 9:26-27 } . . . { 16 }: "Then let them who are in Judaea flee into the mountains," [ at the very minute the statue is placed into the Temple in Jerusalem ]!

========

47. { V. 21 }: "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be, { Matthew 24:15-16, - & - 21 }."

=========================

48. Commentary . . . Remember, these verses refer to "the New World order" the One World Government ruled by the Antichrist." This fact cannot be emphasized enough.

=========================

49. { V. 4 } Scripture: "And 'His [ MESSIAH's' ] feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half toward the south.

50. { V. 5 }: And 'you [ the Israelis' that are still alive in Israel ] shall flee to the valley of the mountains; [ Rather "through the valley," as in { 2- Samuel 2:29 }; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yes, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my GOD shall come, and all the Saints with you, { Zechariah 14:4-5 }." . . . The prophet John states . . .

=========================

51. Scripture: "And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and a half time from the face of the serpent, { Revelation 12:14 }

=========================

52. The above verse { 14 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "And to the 'woman [ the saved Hebrew Remnant ' ] were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, 'into her place, [ Petra in ancient Edom' ] where she is nourished for a time [ one year ], and times [ two years ], and a half time [ a half year, 3 and one half years altogether ] from the face of 'the serpent [ Satan' ]." [ And also from the Antichrist, Satan's man of sin and ruler of the one world Government ],

=========================

53. Scripture "Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortable to her { Hosea 2:14 }."

=========================

54. Commentary . . . GOD will put the thought in the 'hearts [ minds' ] of the Shulamite Remnant to depart the place wherever they are and hurry to the hiding place in the wilderness of Petra, to keep them from being destroyed by the followers of the Antichrist. Again read { Zechariah 14:4 - & - 5 } above. The student should read { Ezekiel 20:33-44 }. It seems that there will be different kinds of judgments at the time of MESSIAH's return. In { Ezekiel 20 } are described the coming judgment of the Jews who will still be alive at the conclusion of the great Tribulation Period. The Chief Shepherd MESSIAH - will examine His flock ( they will pass under the rod; i.e., see { Leviticus 27:32 }.

55. He will purge . . . the rebels and bring the faithful into the blessings of the New Covenant in the Kingdom. At the same time, those survivors of the world's nations whom are yet alive at the end of the Tribulation, will also be judged so that all who have lived through that terrible 7 year period will at it conclusion either enter the LORD's Kingdom reign in un-resurrected bodies or be cast into Hell. Therefore, at the very beginning of the Millennium, all who enter it in earthly bodies will have proved through these various judgments that they are redeemed. These judgments will also include the judgment of the world's nations according to { Matthew 25:31-46 }. { 1:7 }: Therefore, the Hebrew Remnant seeks shelter in a place where MESSIAH makes His flock to rest at noon. For her, He has become the Shepherd of the Hebrew nation who has found 'His Sheep [ the Remnant' ] who have been diligently seeking, praying and groping for Him since they were cast out into the nations of the world in A.D. 70.

=========================

56. { V. 9 } Scripture: "Therefore is judgment far from us, neither does justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.

57. { V. 10 }: We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes; we stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.

58. { V. 11 }: We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us, { Isaiah 59:9-11 }."

=========================

59. The above { Vs. 9- 11 } paraphrased in commentary form . . .

{ 9 }: "Therefore is justice and right far from us, and righteousness and salvation do not overtake us; we expectantly wait for light, but only see darkness; but we walk in obscurity and gloom.

{ 10 }: "We grope for the wall like the blind [ yes ], and we grope as if we had no eyes; 'we stumble at noon day [ just as bad as we would stumble in the darkness' of ] the night; 'we are in desolate [ dark ] places [ better . . . among strong men; i.e., Israel's enemies. We are: ] as dead men."

{ 11 }: We all groan and growl like bears, and moan plaintively like doves. We look for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far from us." . . . Commentary of the three above verses below . . .

========

60. { 9 }: The prophet Isaiah begins to speak in the first person and he then includes himself with the Hebrew people. "Therefore." Because of their sinful life-style and their perverted directions, the prophet reminds them that they are suffering the consequences of their sin. "Judgment far from us." Judgment is the Hebrew word "mishpat," which refers to a "legal decision" or "justice." The idea implied is that a just decision of GOD related to their deliverance had escaped them. Therefore, GOD would not intervene and deliver them. The words: "Neither does justice overtake us." . . . The word translated "justice" here is the Hebrew word "tsedagah," which means righteousness or to be right, have a just cause. This is a reference to "salvation." The people continue in darkness of their sin with no immediate hope of 'light [ comprehension' ] and brightness. They are described as "blind men" feeling their way along a wall for a way of escape, but that escape eludes them; and even though it is "bright [ i.e., comprehensible" ], they "stumble" as if they were in "darkness." This is a clear reference to spiritual blindness whereby men seek to escape, but no way of escape confronts them, see { John 12:40; - & - Isaiah 6:10 }.

61. { 10 }: "We are in desolate places as dead men." The New American Standard Version translates this "among those who are vigorous we are like dead men." The idea is that although these Hebrews are physically healthy, they are Spiritually dead [ see Paul's argument in Ephesians chapter two ].

62. { 11 }: In this verse Isaiah continues his indictment of the Hebrew spiritual blindness by comparing them to bears and doves. They are like bears who hunt the flock and walk around growling with evil intent and at the same time "mourn and moan like doves." He includes this verse by going back to the promise he established in verse 9. "For salvation, but it is far off from us." The words "peace, judgment, light, righteousness, brightness," all are descriptive of GOD's Divine salvation. All their looking for righteousness and salvation turns out again to be nothing but self deception, when the time for their coming seems close at hand.

63. The Israelites have had no home-land for two thousand years. They have been living as outcast throughout the nations of the world since A.D. 70, hated, starved, murdered and condemned because Satan despises the whole Hebrew race. He has turned the leaders of the nations against them putting his own hatred in their hearts also. The Tribulation of seven years will be the worst persecution the Israelites and the world at large have ever had to endure. Israel has always groped as the blind because they did not realize that CHRIST was their MESSIAH. And still through much of the Tribulation Period their eyes will still be partly closed to CHRIST as their MESSIAH and this is the meaning of the above verses.

=========================

64. { V. 15 } Scripture: "I will feed My flock [ of sheep, the beloved Hebrew Remnant ], and I will cause them to lie down, saith the LORD GOD.

65. { V. 16 }: I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken [ the nation ] and will strengthen that which was sick . . . { Ezekiel 34:15-16 }."

=========================

66. The above { V. 16 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "I will seek that which was lost, and bring back the Hebrew Diaspora back from the nations where they have strayed and become lost, and I will bandage the hurt and the crippled, and will strengthen the weak and the sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong who have become hardhearted and perverse; I will feed them: with judgment and punishment." See { Luke 19:10. }

67. Commentary . . . At MESSIAH's Second Coming, He will gather His Bride Remnant of the Hebrews back to their own land of Israel from over the entire earth where He had first sent them. They will be bound up as the strongest and leading nation of this earth. MESSIAH will cause them to forget their sorrows and anguish, and will heal them and cleanse their land and reign over them forever after that! The nation will always thereafter be called Israel, and never again . . . Palestine .

68. In { Song Of Solomon 1:8 }, because of Shulamite's confession the King MESSIAH calls her "the fairest among women." She is to go forth "by the foot-steps of the flock." He has produced a saved Remnant which will become a very great nation.

69. During the Tribulation Period of seven years, the Remnant of Hebrews that have believed on CHRIST as her GOD will have confessed Him as their "MESSIAH [ Anointed Saviour" ], thus preparing themselves ready to be received as a Bride of the returning King. She will be everlastingly looked upon by Him as the fairest among all the people of the earth, see { Revelation 19:7 }.

70. In { Ch. 1:9-10 }, the "horses" in this text imply: "energy and swiftness;" and the "ornaments" represents the "gifts of His great love for her." This includes eternal life and happiness from that day onward. He will be her LORD of LORD's, and her eternal King and Redeemer. And, now we repeat some of the text below . . .

=========================

71. Commentary . . . In this Song { 1:11 }, The Hebrews believe that GOD the FATHER will send the MESSIAH back to this earth as a King. The word " WE" in { V. 11 } denotes the Triune GODHEAD, FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT; the borders of gold with studs of silver refers to the royal and the nuptial crown for the Bride, see { Esther 2:17; - & - Ezekiel 16:12 }. Thus, MESSIAH will crown His faithful Remnant on earth after the BODY OF CHRIST has been crowned in Heaven.

72. In the rest of the { Song of Solomon Ch. 1 }, the Bridegroom calls the 'Shulamite [ Hebrew Remnant' ] fair and she in return cries out, "Behold, You are fair, my Beloved, yes pleasant." { Ch. 2:1 }, the voice of the Bride is stating that she is "The rose and the lily of the valley." But it is not as some have taught, that it is He that makes this statement.

73. She is in her purity and separation like . . . "the lily among thorns" { Ch. 2: 2. } And { V. 3 }, speaks of her MESSIAH as if He is an . . . 'Apple - Tree.' She doesn't have any fruit of herself, but . . . she must rest in Him as the blessed Fruit - Bearer. Under the Bridegroom's protection the Shulamite Remnant finds her shelter, and she . . . enjoys the "fruit under His shadow." { Ch. 2:4 }: The "Bridegroom [ CHRIST the MESSIAH" ] has brought her to His own place in the promised land of Israel.

74. She is in the . . . house of wine. Israel has always been known as a land where grapes flourish abundantly and much wine is made from grapes. The banner of . . . His love is over her, which points to the Bridegrooms protection of the Remnant of Israel in the last days.

75. We notice in { Ch. 2:7 } that she is warning the . . . "Daughters of Jerusalem" . . . that they should not disturb the "chosen Remnant in her relationship that she enjoys, until He please," that is, until the rest of the Hebrew remnant should know MESSIAH the Bridegroom as their anointed King, according to His own will. Love cannot be forced, it must be a natural event. We notice also that the phrase, "I charge you daughters of Jerusalem" is found in this Song. Each time it is followed by His Return, portraying His Second Coming.

76. Here we read in { Ch. 2:8 } "The voice of my beloved! Behold He comes!" This refers to CHRIST as MESSIAH revealing Himself to Israel His Bride. In { Ch. 3:6 } He comes out of the wilderness as MESSIAH the King; His name is revealed in { 2: 7 } as . . . Solomon, "Who is: The Prince of peace." This refers in type to JESUS as the expected coming MESSIAH.

77. Then once more the same phrase is given, "I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem [ residents of Israel ]," is found in { Ch. 8:4-5 }, and the . . . Bride is coming out of the wilderness of Petra with Him, "leaning on her beloved" Shepherd Bridegroom.

78. This is where the beloved Remnant had been protected from the Antichrist prior to MESSIAH's return from Heaven. When He returns down upon the Mount of Olives, { Zechariah 14:4 }, the first thing He will do is go to His Hebrew Remnant where He will find them hiding in Petra from the Antichrist! From there, after the revival takes place between MESSIAH and His Hebrew Bride, He will come through Bozrah in Edom [ just north of Petra ], Scripture . . .

=========================

79. { Question . . . Isaiah Ch. 63:1 } . . . "Who is this that comes from Edom with dyed garments from Bozrah?"

80. [ The Answer ] . . . "This that Is glorious in His apparel, traveling [ marching ] in the greatness of His strength?I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save."

81. { Question . . . Isaiah 63:2 } . . ."Why are you red in your apparel, and your garments like him that treads the winefat?"

82. { Answer . . . Isaiah 63:3-4 } . . . "I have trodden the winepress alone; and the people - there was none with Me: for I will tread them in My anger, and trample them in My fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon My garments, and I will stain all My raiment [ garments.]" [ With the blood of all CHRIST rejecters during the battle of Armageddon which battle MESSIAH wins and brings to an end at His second coming. ]

83. For the day of vengeance is in 'My heart [ mind" ] and the year of My redeemed is come."

=========================

84. Commentary . . . This speaks of the time that MESSIAH finally redeems the Remnant who will become His future Bride, at the marriage of the LAMB OF GOD, see { Revelation 19:6-8 }. At the end of the Tribulation Period MESSIAH will appear! All the above shows that this SONG refers to the time when the "Remnant of Hebrews" will know their MESSIAH and will enjoy the blessings and the glories that has been promised them.

85. { The Song of Songs 2:11 } states that ". . . the winter is past . . ." this means that spring- time is at hand. In other words "the winter," portrays the seven year 'Tribulation [ trouble' ] Period of the New World Order. [ "Spring time ] portrays the long awaited final peace that takes place after MESSIAH the KING OF KINGS has conquered His enemies and received His Hebrew Bride."

86. { Ch. 2:12 } "The flowers appear; . . . the time of singing of birds is come." 'And: [ never again will tribulation come upon the Hebrew people.' No longer will Satan have any power to have them persecuted as he had done in the past. CHRIST, the MESSIAH KING will forever after protect the chosen Remnant as His Bride!

87. { Ch. 2:13 } "The fig tree is bringing forth her green figs," [ which refers to Israel as a new nation out of the old.

88. See { Matthew 21:43 }, which says . . . Scripture: "Therefore say I unto you: 'the [ Millennial ] Kingdom of GOD' shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth new fruit thereof."

89. Many Bible students take this verse completely out of its rightful context! and teach that this new nation spoken of the Matthew refers to the BODY OF CHRIST of today. This positively is a false teaching! The "nation bringing forth new fruit," refers to the new nation of Israel that once again starts anew at the beginning of MESSIAH's Millennial Reign after: "His Second Advent." "This portrays the new national fruit- bearing of the once cursed fig tree. The vines are also with the tender grapes. Who could not be wise enough to understand that these verses represent the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom period? And we read of MESSIAH's call to His Remnant in Petra that is called the rock, the rose red City of Edom.

90. It must be understood by the student that the fig tree is the emblem of the nation Israel. JESUS cursed the fig tree while He was yet on this earth performing His preaching Ministry because they had rejected Him as their King at His first coming.

91. The 'fig tree [ Israel' ], after calling on CHRIST to redeem them during the "one world government period [ tribulation period!" ], has been answered because of His redeeming Grace and the former curse against them has now been removed and forgotten.

92. In { Ch. 2:13 } He also says; ". . . arise, My love My fair one, and come away." { V. 14 } The Shulamite, spoken of as being in the female gender, refers strictly to the saved 'Remnant' of this "NEW Hebrew nation," and is called "My dove."

93. She is "in the clefts of the rock," and JESUS is the Rock, where His people are hidden away "in that secret place" and where they find shelter. Petra, in old ancient Edom, is a type of the rock mentioned here with its steep rock walls on either side of the trail leading into the city. The Bridegroom and the Bride long for each other.

94. She cries out in { Ch. 2:16 }: "My beloved is mine, and I am His: He feeds [ His flock ] among the lilies" See { Revelation 12:6 } this is a type of the place where "CHRIST will feed His Hebrew Betrothed Remnant in Petra during the last three and a half years of the Tribulation Period," just as He fed the host of Hebrews when they left Egypt during the great exodus through the wilderness of Sinai. From now on there will be pure freedom and an eternal relationship between MESSIAH and His Bride. This Shulamite flock in the above { V. 16 } refers to "His Sheep," the "saved Remnant of Israelis, who were cast out and were lost to Him as rejecters but now have been found and have finally accepted Him for whom He really is, their MESSIAH and LORD JEHOVAH." Remember that sheep are referred to as those who are saved, born again into the family of GOD, thus MESSIAH has now returned and found "His Remnant of Sheep," . . . goats on the other hand, refer to lost CHRIST rejecters { Matthew 25:31-46 }.

95. The story in this great Song gives us a picture of things that at times changes from verse to verse. Sometimes it may dwell upon the final outcome that takes place at MESSIAH's return to this earth. At other times it may refer back to the previous time when the "Shulamite engaged Bride" is to be in the predicament of gross persecution before MESSIAH's Second Coming, In { Ch. 2:7 }.

96. The time has not yet arrived for them to come together { Ch. 3:1 }, the Betrothed who is called the wife of JEHOVAH is now alone hiding as in the "darkness of night [ another type of Petra" ], she is waiting and looking for Him. Her mind, as in chapter two, is filled with the same love for Him but she is very sad.

97. { Ch. 3:2 }: She looked in the streets and wherever else she could for Him.

98. { Ch. 3:3 } She inquires of the watchmen as to whether he has any idea where her Betrothed may be, but the watchman has no answers for her.

99. And then in { Ch. 3:4 } she found Him. All these sayings "are prophetic, in parabolic form" as they reveal the soul exercise of the Godly Remnant of the nation during the dark night of the future One World Government, the tribulation period. Be sure and read { Revelation Ch. 13 } where one can understand why millions of people will likely be hiding from the followers of the Antichrist.

100. { Ch- 3:6-11 } describes CHRIST's return as MESSIAH. { Ch. 3:6 } gives us another picture of His return from Petra, and notice In the following verse we do have the key, . . .

=========================

101. Scripture: "Go forth, O you daughters of Zion, and behold King Solomon with the crown wherewith His mother crowned Him in the day of His espousals, and in the day of the gladness of His 'heart [ mind' ], { Song 3:11 }."

=========================

102. Commentary . . . His mother is the Hebrew nation. The nation of Israel gave birth to JESUS according to the flesh. CHRIST, JEHOVAH, Creator of all things, came down to be born of human flesh so that He could die on the Cross for the souls who would be redeemed by believing on Him as the CHRIST and Saviour of His Sheep.

103. We see this in the great vision of the Apocalypse { Revelation 12:1, 2, 5-6 } . . . which pictures Israel as the mother of the 12 tribes of the Hebrew people. We also see JESUS CHRIST, the Hebrew MESSIAH King, and the prophet John describes the time when the Remnant is hiding in the wilderness of Petra in the last days under MESSIAH's protection!

104. At the beginning of the Millennial Day when MESSIAH returns from the wilderness of Petra, like pillars of smoke in the Shekinah Cloud, He will return as a mighty Victor, the PRINCE OF PEACE, and as the true Solomon. When King Solomon was King for a forty year period he spoke of peace and had peace all during his reign. Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived, a type of the worlds Last King Who is all wise in all things. Therefore, the nation Israel, portrayed in Scripture as the LORD's mother of His flash, will crown CHRIST as the LORD of all.

105. { Ch. 4:1 } The 'King [ the Bridegroom' ] speaks of 'Israel [ the Shulamite' ] as one who is perfect. She is fair, pretty, has doves' eyes and has beautiful hair, see also { Ezekiel 16:14 }. Notice the "Remnant Shulamite" is perfect as all Believers are perfect when they are born again in CHRIST.

106. No matter how old a person is, when one first receives salvation he is immediately an infant in the household of GOD the FATHER, therefore, the new redeemed Child of GOD's life begins that very second. Thus, even a ninety year old man if he is saved at that age, is just as young in the LORD as a new born baby, because he has just become a new-born Child Of GOD!

107. The verse states that the Shulamite is fair, but all Christians are fair and pretty in the eyes of GOD. How else could one reach perfection in their new nature without any blemish of sin on them? After all, all Saints become adopted Children of GOD the FATHER at the instant they become believing Saints in His SON as their SAVIOUR! It should be noted that this Remnant is mentioned elsewhere in the Old Testament other than in this great Song,

=========================

108. { V. 20 } Scripture "And it shall come to pass 'in that [ last' ] day, that the Remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again 'stay [ or lean' ] upon him that smote them; but shall 'stay [ lean ] upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. [ during His future millennial reign' ].

109. { V. 21 }: The 'Remnant [ of the Hebrew people' ] shall return, even the Remnant of Jacob, unto the 'Mighty GOD'.

110. { V. 22 }: For though your people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a Remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness, { Isaiah 10:20-22 }."

=========================

111. The above { V. 22 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "For though 'your [ population' of the ] people [ of ] Israel be [ increased ] as the sand of the sea, yet a Remnant of them shall return: [ and survive ] 'the consumption [ the fully completed destruction' of them is ] 'decreed [ i.e., decided upon and brought to an issue'; they shall survive what takes place at that time and: ] shall overflow with righteousness." . . . See { Romans 9:27-28 }.

=========================

112. Scripture: "Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us 'a very small Remnant [ of survivors' ] we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah, { Isaiah 1:9 }." See { Zechariah 13:9-10 }.

=========================

113. { V. 26 } Scripture: "And it shall come to pass; that in the place where it was said to them, you are not My people; there shall they be called the Children of the living GOD. . . . See { Hosea 1:10. } . . .

114. { V. 27 }: Esa'ias also cried concerning Israel, though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a Remnant shall be saved.

115. { V. 28 }: For He shall finish the work , and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the LORD make upon the earth.

116. { V. 29 }: And as Esaias said before, except the 'LORD of [ the ] Sabbath' had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and been made like unto Gomorrha, { Romans 9:26-29 }."

=========================

117. The above { Vs. 27-29 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "

{ 27 }: 'Esa'ias [ Isaiah' ] also 'cried [ out solemnly in a aloud voice' and said ] concerning Israel, though the number of the children of Israel are as the 'sand of the sea, [ only ] a Remnant [ of them still exists it is the Remnant of the Israelis, i.e., only a small part of them ] shall be saved [ from death and from eternal judgment' ]. See again { Zechariah 13:8-9 }.

{ 28 }: For He shall finish the work , and cut it [ i.e., the LORD will execute His Word and judgment upon the earth, finishing it and cutting it short in His justice ] short in righteousness . . . because a short work will the LORD make upon the earth . . .

{ 29 }: And as 'Esaias [ Isaiah' ] said before, except 'the LORD of Sab'aoth . . . [ the LORD of Hosts' ] had left us a seed, 'we had been [ caused to fare ] as Sodom, and been made [ to fare' ] like unto Gomorrha, { Romans 9:26-29 }." [ Getting back to the Remnant in this prophetic "Song Of Solomon" . . .

=========================

118. { Ch. 4:1 } Scripture: "Behold, you are fair, My love; behold, you are fair; you have doves' eyes within your locks: your hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead."

=========================

119. The above { V. 4 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "HOW FAIR you are, my love, he said, how very 'fair [ beautiful' ]. And, your eyes behind your veil remind me of those of a dove; 'your hair [ makes me think of the black, wavy fleece ] of a flock of [ the Arabian ] goats' which one sees trailing down Mount Gilead [ beyond Jordan on the frontiers of the desert ].

========

120. Commentary of the above verse 4. . . . The lady's betrothed Bridegroom states: "Behold, you are fair." He has now appeared on the scene. And, concerned for His Shulamite Brides welfare. When He finds her, He encourages her at this critical point in her life by expressing His undiminished affection for her. Using striking poetic language, He enumerates her charms. The perfect proportion of her body is mentioned. It is well to remind ourselves that such a description of a female's physical attractions is not to be judged by our western standards. Easterners were far less inhibited in this area. He tells her that "Your hair is as a flock of goats." Her 'locks [ tsamah' ] are as beautiful as Mount Gilaud covered with the shaggy goat herd. The hair of Oriental goats is exceedingly delicate, soft { Genesis 27:16 }, long and black { 1- Samuel 19:13 }; and when the sun shines upon it, it reflects such a glare that the eye can hardly bear the luster."

=========================

121. In { 4:7 }, He tells her, Scripture: "Thou are all fair, My love; there is no spot in you."

=========================

122. Commentary . . . of { V. 7 }. . . "The Bridegroom speaks afresh and once again His mouth is filled with praise for her impeccable beauty. And what is true of the Bride Remnant of Israel in MESSIAH's eye can surely be understood from these verses.

=========================

123. { V. 8 }, In this song He states: "Come with Me from Lebanon, 'My spouse [ My promised Bride' ], with Me from Lebanon: Look from the top of Ama'na, from the top of She'nir and Her'mon, from the lions dens, from the mountains of the leopards." ========

124. Commentary . . . these verses are of parabolic prophetic picture language of the Hebrew Bride that will take place in the promised land after the Tribulation Period! Notice that the Shulamite Remnant's Betrothed desires to aid her planned escape from anything that could harm her. His help thus was to insure an immediate exit to the beauty of the mountains of Lebanon. From the safety of those heights they will be able to avoid the 'king [ lions' ] and 'leopards [ his courtiers' ]. It is said of the Shulamite, "the saved Israelite Remnant" - that . . . she has passed through the fires of persecution of the Tribulation, Period, and now His heart expresses His delight in her. There are eight descriptions of her beauty. He tells her, in . . .

========

125. { V. 9 }: "You have ravished My heart, My sister, 'My spouse [ My promised Bride' ]; you have ravished My heart with one of your eyes, with one chain of your neck. [ i.e., one jewel of your necklace ]."

=========================

126. commentary . . . The words "My sister," is an affectionate term for one's wife! . . . "You have ravished My heart," literally, put heart into Me. The great courage that He feels is due to the renewed knowledge of her continued love for Him. One look into her eyes and the renewed sight of her beautiful neck has incarcerated Him as it would if she were wearing a beautiful necklace.

=========================

127. { V. 12 } Scripture: "A garden enclosed is 'My sister [ Betrothed' ], 'My [ promised ] spouse [ Bride' ]; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

128. { V. 13 }: Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard, see { John 15:5 }.

129. { V. 14 }: Spikenard and saffron; clamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:

130. { V. 15 }: A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon, { Song Of Solomon 4:12-15 }."

=========================

131. Commentary . . . In these 4 above verses we see a beautiful description of the land of Israel during the Millennial reign of MESSIAH. The land [ i.e., the new nation of Israel ] is pictured as a garden in which MESSIAH's Bride is now planted once again as a new nation out of the old Israelite nation of long ago with MESSIAH's Own protection encompassing the nation! There are precious fruits, spikenard and trees of frankincense, fountains, and wells of living water; and this as well as the north wind and south wind, which typifies the HOLY SPIRIT. And she the Bride invites Him, her Bridegroom, to come to her garden again, which is typical of the new Israelite nation as a whole. In the following verse the Shulamite speaks, she says . . .

=========================

132. Scripture: "Awake, 0 north wind; and come, you south; blow upon 'My garden [ Land of Israel' ], that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my Beloved come into 'His garden [ Land of Israel ],' and eat His pleasant fruits, { Song 4:16 }. =========================

133. The above { V. 16 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "[ You have called me a garden, she said. ] 0, I pray the cold north wind and the soft south to blow upon my garden, that its spices 'may flow out [ in abundance for You in Whom my soul delights' ]. Let my Beloved come into His garden and eat its choicest fruits." . . . And He says . . .

=========================

134. Scripture: "I am come into My garden, My sister, My spouse: I have gathered My myrrh with My spice; I have eaten My honeycomb with My honey; I have drunk My wine with My milk: eat, 0 friends; drink, yes, drink abundantly 0 beloved,{ Song - 5:1 }."

=========================

135. The above { V. 1 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "I am come into 'My garden [ My new re-established nation' ], My sister, My [ promised ] Bride; I have gathered My myrrh with My balsam and spice. From your sweet words I have gathered the richest perfumes and spices; I have eaten My honeycomb with My honey; I have drunk 'My wine [ grape juice' ] with My milk. Eat, 0 friends [ feast on, 0 revelers of the palace; you can never make My love disloyal to Me! ] Drink abundantly of love, 0 precious one [ for now I know you are mine, irrevocably mine! With His confident words still thrilling her being, through the lattice she saw her Shepherd turn away and pass into the night." See { John 16:33. }

========

136. Commentary . . . In the above verse He invited them to eat and drink honey and grape juice from His garden, but there is no response here from the Betrothed Hebrew Remnant. He stated "I am come into My garden," "thus, speaking of the new Israel at the beginning of His Millennial reign." MESSIAH calls Shulamite both sister and spouse. When He speaks of her as sister, He speaks of the national relationship of the nation. In { Matthew 12:46-50 }, He disowned her in that relationship in the past because they as a nation rejected the offer of the millennial Kingdom, but now it is re-established and the Saved Remnant becomes the Bride. In the garden where He was captured by the betrayers, CHRIST was taken to His death, but now as the MESSIAH He finds love instead of death. He finds enjoyment and eternal satisfaction and invites others to come and partake of His blessings. She says . . .

=========================

137. Scripture: "I sleep, but my 'heart [ mind' is ] awake: it is the voice of my beloved that knocks, saying, 0pen to Me, My sister, My love, My dove, My undefiled: for My head is filled with dew, and My locks with the 'drops [ of dew' ] of the night, { Song. 5:2 }."

=========================

138. The above { V. 2 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "I went to sleep, but my sub-conscious mind stayed awake. I dreamed that I heard the voice of my Beloved as He knocked at my door. Open to Me, My sister, My love, My dove, My spotless one, He said, for I am wet with the heavy night dew; My hair is covered with it. See { Job 11:13-15. }

========

139. Commentary . . . She, the Shulamite Remnant, is slothful in her ways at this time. He is standing outside the door, He knocks- see { Revelation 3:20 }. Doesn't this give us a picture of this present Christian age when we backslide and fall out of fellowship with our LORD? We, as Christians, are typical of Israel because we act very slothful and foolish many times during this age of Grace. CHRIST knocks on the door of the 'minds [ hearts' ] of men and wants all to be on fire for Him and His cause. Many people are lazy and think only of worldly pleasures, of today but ignore the Bible, thinking that they will get to Heaven by their own so- called good works, but they won't! Only through CHRIST can any person have eternal life in Heaven! The Shulamite did not answer the door right away, she waited too long by delaying His summons. The LORD is still knocking at the door of His Hebrew Betrothed, and someday in the near future she will open the door for Him! . . . And, sometime later she stated . . .

=========================

140. { V. 5 } Scripture: "I rose up to open [ the door ] to my Beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock. [ she should have opened the door immediately and has now learned of her mistake. The King had left myrrh on the door as a reminder that He had been there ]

141. { V. 6 } Scripture: "I opened to my Beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn Himself, and was gone: my 'soul [ inner life' ] failed when He spoke: I sought Him, but I could not find Him; I called Him, but He gave me no answer,

========

142. Commentary . . . The Betrothed had MESSIAH with her but because of her ignorance she refused to accept Him and actually asked to have Him crucified in the place of Barabbas { Matthew 27:15-21 }. She was and is blind to JESUS, and she has been seeking her MESSIAH down through the centuries since that time but has failed to find Him. Thus, He still fails to answer her summons. See { Matthew 9:15 }. . . . She said . . .

========

143. { V. 7 }: The watchman that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me, the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me. . . . [ The watchman mistook her for a criminal ] Then she again said . . .

144. { V. 8 }: I charge you, 0 daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my Beloved, that you tell Him, that I am sick of love, { Song. 5:6-8 }."See { Psalm 63:1 }.

=========================

145. Commentary . . . She arises and learns of her own mistakes. She should have answered when He wanted to enter but she refused to open the door, what a dreadful loss. She, the Shulamite in { V. 7 }, was chastised by the ruling class and by those who watch for the peace of Jerusalem, [ the Hebrews who are looking for the MESSIAH to return and bring eternal peace to the nations ]. All of GOD's Children should have peaceful enjoyment and perfect love in CHRIST, when He makes Himself known to them according to His Grace otherwise their affection is out of place and causes them to be judged by others. Affection may exist; but it must be in a loving walk with CHRIST. The nation of Israel looked for MESSIAH from Abraham till His Second Coming.

146. She had failed to keep her own nation on the right path according to the dictates laid down by GOD JEHOVAH thus, He withdrew from her. But, she at least in part, has not ceased from seeking Him. See { Psalm 63:1. } Many times Israel has been in a backsliding condition and because slothfulness prevented the Shulamite Remnant from receiving Him when He had visited her, her heart was now disciplined by the watchman and now she turns back to her true love. When she is reminded by the daughters of Jerusalem of how much 'Solomon [ i.e., MESSIAH' ] meant to her, she bursts into an ecstatic description of Him { Vs. 10-16 }. The question in the next verse is addressed to the Shulamite by the rest of the nation when they asked her . . .

=========================

147. { V. 9 } Scripture: "What is your beloved more than another beloved, 0 you fairest among women? [ taunted the ladies. ] What is your beloved more than another beloved, that you do charge us? [ i.e., that you should give us such a charge? ] Her answer. . .

148. { V. 10 }: [ She said: ] My Beloved 'is white [ i.e., fair ] and ruddy,' the chiefest among ten thousand { Ch. 5:9-10 }." See { John 1:14; - & - Psalm 45:2. } Psalm 45 is a Messianic Psalm referring to Israel!

149. Commentary . . . In { Song 5:10 } She, the Shulamite, speaks of Him as "The Chiefest among ten thousand." This is, of course, symbolical language. The verse reminds us of His holiness. { V. 13 } His cheeks are perfumed; grace is in His lips; the belly { V. 14 } speaks of mercy; His eyes { V. 12 } are of love, the gold { V. 14 } is the symbol of His Deity; the hair { V. 11 } is the symbol of His perfect humanity. And then the "Shulamite Remnant" cries out . . .

=========================

150. Scripture: "His mouth is most sweet: yes, He is altogether lovely. This is my Beloved, and this is my friend, 0 'daughters of Jerusalem, { V. 16. }

=========================

151. The above { V. 16 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "His voice and speech are exceedingly sweet; yes, He is altogether lovely . . . the whole of MESSIAH is delightedly precious. This is my Beloved, and this is my friend, 0 'daughters of Jerusalem [ i.e., the nation of the Hebrews' ]. See { Colossians 1:15; - & - Psalm 92:15. }

========

152. Commentary . . . In chapter 6 The description of Him is addressed to the "Daughters of Jerusalem [ people of the nation" ]. Their answer is recorded in the beginning of this chapter. Because of her praise of Him, now the desire is created in the others to also become His beloved followers.

=========================

153. { 6:1 } "Where is your Beloved gone, O you fairest among women? Where is your Beloved turned aside? that we 'may [ will' ] seek Him with you.

========

154. The above { V. 1 } paraphrased in commentary form . . . "Where is your Beloved gone, O you fairest among women? [ Again the "Daughters of Jerusalem [ people of the nation" showed their interest in this remarkable person whom the Shulamite had championed with such loving praise; they too wanted to know Him, they insisted. ] Where is your Beloved hiding Himself? For we wish to seek Him with you." She replied . . .

========

155. { 6: 2 }: My Beloved is gone down into His garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies." [ She affirms the security of their relationship. The Shulamite tells them . . .

156. { 6: 3 }: I am my Beloved's, and my 'Beloved [ Betrothed Bridegroom' ] is mine: He feeds among the lilies, [ Then the Bride- groom speaks in loving praise of His Remnant - of that which she is for Him . . .

157. { 6: 4 }: "You are beautiful, 0 My love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, 'terrible [ awesome' ] as an army with banners.

========

158. Commentary . . . Tirzah means 'pleasantness' and was a city known for it beauty, and was the residence of the king, it superseded Shechem as the capital of the Northern Kingdom. Scripture makes very clear that the Remnant of the Hebrews "the only one" [ the nation of Israel ] is Hs dove. MESSIAH the Bridegroom sees Israel as if she were like "an army with banners" displayed { 6:10 }. In { 6:11-12 }. He goes down into "the garden [ the nation" ] to look at its beauty, to see if His vine has budded, and suddenly, before He is aware, His love makes Him "ammi- nadib," which means the chariots of My Princely [ willing ] people { Psalm 110:3 }. He leads them forth from their place of refuge in triumph and glory. No longer will anyone from any nation be aloud to persecute them because they are finally and completely at home for once and for ever more! This will all be explained to His people during His Millennial reign.

========

159. Commentary . . . { Song 7:1 } The great outburst of MESSIAH in praise of His Bride, the Saved and glorified Remnant of Israel, is not to be spoken here by the Bridegroom, the MESSIAH King. It is the praise of the "daughters of Jerusalem, [ children of Israel" ] who now recognize the Shulamite as the Beloved of the King. The Brides greatest confession is found in this chapter. MESSIAH the King came forward saying . . .

=========================

160. Scripture { 7:6 }: "how fair and how pleasant are you, O love, for delights!" [ The Shulamite proudly answers ] . . .

=========================

161. Scripture { 7:10 }: "I am my Beloved's, and His desire is toward me." See { John 10:27-30. }

=========================

162. Commentary . . . This is most wonderful; to know once and for all that the saved Hebrew Remnant finally possesses their MESSIAH KING and that His heart's delight is in her. . . . And today, this is also the happy longing for the coming LORD, the HEAD of the BODY OF CHRIST. Blessed is the scene with which { Ch. 7 } closes. CHRIST calls on the Remnant Bride to go forth with Him into the fields of the land of Israel, to go to the vineyards of the redeemed land, to see the budding and blossoming, the blooming pomegranates, the choice fruits, new and old, all laid up for His Beloved.

163. This takes us into the thousand year reign of CHRIST. At that time there will be great fruit bearing and glory for JESUS in the fields of the nations of the world and especially of Israel.

=========================

164. Scripture "For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the LORD GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations { Isaiah 61:11 }."

=========================

165. Commentary . . . The revived nation of the Hebrews all restored in fellowship with her MESSIAH- KING will share in the fullest sense in these coming blessings and glory. Naturally, most of the rest of the world's nations will also be restored eventually after MESSIAH's second coming.

166. The whole world will be as a restored garden of Eden! [ Except nations such as Iraq and Edom which will remain in a cursed state ]! Concerning Edom see { Obadiah 1:10; } and Babylon which is modern Iraq of today, See { Isaiah 13:19-22 }.

167. { Ch. 8 } The last chapter of this great Song is a review of the whole book. The Bride's desires are once more made known to Him and for the last time "the daughters of Jerusalem" [ people of the nation ], are mentioned. We see the return of MESSIAH once again in { V. 5 };

=========================

168. Scripture, { Ch. 8:5 }: "Who is this that comes up from the 'wilderness [ of Petra' ] leaning upon her beloved?

=========================

169. The Remnant is returning with Him from her hiding place. Also the apple tree is found in { V. 5 }, which represents the LORD. See { Ch. 2:3 }. Therefore, the Remnant who only consist of saved glorified Hebrews when brought back to their ancient homeland shall become the earthly Bride of the great King. The little sister' mentioned in { Ch. 8:8 } has been interpreted as meaning "the tribe of Ephraim."

170. The Remnant will spring forth from all the 12 tribes of Israel. They will forever, after the marriage of MESSIAH to His Bride, rejoice because of the great love that has been displayed on them by their Bridegroom.

171. The so-called lost Ten Tribes who in fact have never been lost, are naturally included in this great wedding! See [ a small Remnant of the larger Remnant we have been talking about that is mentioned in { Revelation 7:3-8 }. This small Remnant are a hundred and 44 thousand who will be called to be Hebrew ministers throughout that future 7 year Tribulation Period!

172. { Ch. 8:11 } Solomon's "Vineyards at Baal- Hamon [ master of multitudes" ] points clearly to the converted nations of the world during the millennium and then MESSIAH's own vineyard, which refers to the land of Israel in { Ch. 8:12 }.

173. The question has been asked, "why are the saved Hebrews only going to become the Bride since many of those in other nations also are saved during the tribulation period?" The answer is that "the Covenants from GOD to Israel foretold in many Scriptures make clear that Israel only is to become an earthly, Priestly nation { Isaiah 61:6; - & - 66:21 }. Concerning Israel . . . t

174. See also { Isaiah 61:9-10 }. Never was a promise given to the other nations such as this. The people of the nations are to look up to the Hebrews at all times after this { Isaiah 61:6-9 }. The reason these people will look up to Israel is because they will now realize that CHRIST being the King of the Hebrews has chosen them to become the leading nation of the world, also because the Hebrew nation has become a nation of Priests.

End.
