UPCOMING PROGRAMS:


Monday, October 4, 1:30p.m. - Prescott Art Docent speaker, Maxine Cook, will begin with her talk, "Three Early 20th Century Women Artists." Become better acquainted with Emily Carr, Georgia O'Keefe, and Frida Kahlo, outstanding representative artists of Canada, United States and Mexico. Examine their artistic styles, lives and cultures. A general business meeting will follow, which will include planning for the Election Day Soup & Dessert fund-raiser.

Monday, November 1, 1:30p.m. - No speaker has been scheduled. There will be a short meeting, plus preparation and setups for the next day's (November 2) Election Day Soup and Dessert event.

Tuesday, November 2, 11:00am-1:30pm - Join us for our fabulous SOUP & DESSERT.

CATERING BY SISTERHOOD


Sisterhood can cater your Oneg Shabbat, Bar/Bat Mitzvah kiddush lunch or any event that takes place at the temple. Sammy K's family was one which availed themselves of this new service for his recent Bar Mitzvah. Call Sandy Bernstein for a quote.

Sisterhood provided the apples and honey after Erev Rosh Hashanah services.

Sisterhood is gearing up for our popular Election Day Soup and Dessert event. We will be serving from 11am until 1:30p.m. Cost will be $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 4-12. Remind all your friends about this happening! Volunteers are needed to help prepare, serve and cleanup.

WRJ BIENNIAL:


The 47th biennial assembly of the WRJ's Western Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, District 24, will take place from November 4-7 at the Oakland Marriott City Center Hotel in Oakland, CA. This year's theme will be Isha L'Isha Y Lev L'Lev (Woman to Woman, Heart to Heart).

Special WRJ Guest speakers will be Rabbi Janet Marder, President, Central Conference of American Rabbis, and Lynn Magid Lazar, Vice President, WRJ. Registration for the convention will be $275 until October 1st and $300 subsequently. Any questions about the convention should be addressed to Gwenda.
